My Apologies, Sabariel

Maturity - I'd say low. There's really not any romance or violence or anything.
Fantasy - Er, not much.

See, I had originally considered using my other nickname for you - Old Greg. I eventually decided against it, since it didn't quite match the mood of the poem and every time I read it, the funkshake song got stuck in my head. o.0 Let's not go there.

But in all seriousness, Mia, I'm sorry. Granted, this is a bit late, though I have reasons for that. I was trying to perfect the poem and eventually put it off for a few days, deciding to work on my Omegle poem instead. What I would do was converse with strangers and ask them for a noun, adjective, adverb, pronoun, etc. Well, the first stanza ended up something like this:

The man let New York pet his dog
And then the orange licked his snail
So her electricty was intoxicated
And then he recieved skiing mail

... It obviously didn't work out. Ah, well, it was a nice try. Alas, I returned to this poem, finally completed it, and here it is for you. Enjoy. :3

MY APOLOGIES, SABARIEL

It's hard to find the words
to describe what I'm feeling
I really don't think a simple
'Sorry' will suffice

Or I could throw
A bag of chips at your head
(Which type do you prefer?)
With the words 'please forgive me'
written across the front

I don't think that would
Really do much good, though

You'd walk 20 steps ahead
And I'd push you 52 behind

I was sure that you
would never get
anywhere with me

But I ignored the urge to stop,
and kept on going either way
(You should have told me to shut up.)

So I jumped into
a lake of self pity,
I started drowning -
you were forced
to save me
That wasn't fair

Forgive me.

I missed him
I hated them
I wanted her
I put it all on you

I can assure you that
I'm the one to blame

I knew it was true, or
I thought it was
does that count?

To think I'd change for them,
I thought it would be right -

I was wrong.

He was the only thing on my mind
And I'll be the first to admit,
I was rather desperate -
But I had you.

I knew that if I changed for them,
You'd slowly fade away
I won't do it, I swear to you
I'll never let that part of me go
Would you be proud?

And her.
Oh, goodness,
how much I wanted her
To appreciate me,
To know I was there
I was so caught up that
I forgot about you.

And if I ask you to tell me
That you don't hate me,
I perfectly understand if you refuse

I was far too obsessed
With acception
and exceptions
so your presence disappeared
I'll never do it again,
I promise

And there's no need to appologize, Ave! I had nothing better to do, but listen. And what I mean by this, is...
If I wouldn't have listened, given out my own opinions, and so on, who knows what would have become of you, and what would have become of me. If I wouldn't have spoken, I'd had lived a life of regret, for not even saying a word.
But here I am, glad I did.
Because for once, I was able to lead someone to the right choice.
Ave. You just made me feel so freaking special.

Oh my. :3 I see why this one was nominated for a featured poem, I really do, Ave. It's really wonderful, and it was like . . . something I'd want to see in Maximum Ride. XD Though I don't know if that compliment makes a lot of sense. What I mean, like, it's so sincere. And beautiful. And epic.
