Well. This was originally going to be about a guy, so I figured I needed a picture of a boy for the top. After a bit of searching, I found this gif of Robert Downey Jr. While I decided it wouldn't fit the poem, I assumed I could do you the pleasure of posting it nonetheless...
All kidding aside, this poem was inspired by a story I read once about a drunkard named... Louis, I believe. Something like that. I suppose you could say a roleplay I once did with a friend had something to do with this, so that might work too. Regardless, I do hope you enjoy. :3
all in favor of love
Sometimes they called her lonely
And she knew so well it was true
She wanted someone to run to,
And the burning desire subdued
When two beating hearts collide,
A fragile hate will slowly hide
Though both of them always denied
That trust could lead to suicide
Maybe they didn't realize
It's rather stupid to fall in love
Though stupidity is common,
We need it - or the lack, thereof
One night she'll lay in bed and cry,
Surrounded by cheap tricks and lies
His arms around her as hope dies,
He'll fall asleep right by her side
The sun goes down along with them
The moon will take it's place
A broken bottle on the rug,
Locked in their embrace
When she wakes up, he won't be there
No fingers tangled in her hair
Symmetrically, her heart will tear
It wasn't just a dream, she'll swear
See, love is nonexistant
How could she not have learned?
Her fight for life disturbed,
the courtroom was adjourned
As tears stream down an unlocked door,
the remnants from a night before
Will be thrown up on crimson floors
And she'll be left to beg for more
Emptied from her stomach
and scattered all around
The foul taste left inside her mouth,
A symphony without a sound
A drunken kiss, the perfect high
A dirty, whispered lullaby
All in favor of love, say "I".

Oh my gosh. This is amazing, it's my favorite yet. Once I get back from vacation the first thing I'm gonna do is nominate it. But I truly love this one, you got a lot of talent for writing and poems, and I'm excited to see more. :3

Dear Wifeyy-
This has to be my favorite.
I love the rhythm and the rhymes; they go together perfectly. And I love the message that you get across, although I think it's better spoken by you.
Anyways, I'm going to nominate this, no doubt.

this is... amazing! i dont even know how to describe it... i love it! the last stanza is my favorite i think... but idk i love the whole thing! amazing work!

Oh my gosh, Ave... Seriously this is... Just like... Absolutely phenomenal, to say the least. The rhyming, the wording, the story itself, the format, the picture... Everything. o.o Brilliant work!

Wow. *o* Ave, I think everyone else has already said this, but this is a seriously amazing poem. I think this is my favorite, or one of my favorites of yours. Absolutely brilliant work.

Oh wow, so glad I read back and found this. I'm adding this to my favorites, this is simply brilliant. It fills in so much emotion, that I can't stop reading. The words and scenes in your writing flow with each other as if in harmony. I love it!
