I'll Always Live For You
Today, I found out that my first love/close friend of four years has been dead for a month... We hadn't been in contact for the last seven months because I was selfish and took him for granted. It turns out he was walking home from the movies with his best friend when his friend ot mugged. He jumped infront of his friend who was about to be stabbed and told him to run. His friend ran to call the police and he died that night. This is dedicated to you and I hope, no, I know that your soul will always live on in heaven. I'll never forget you and I thank you so much for everything that you've done to me. Rest in Peace.
There are some things you just DO NOT joke about and death is one of them. I found out that the person's death who inspired me to write this was a dirty lie and a sicker joke that I believed for well over a month. Yes, he is alive. This poem's inspiration was a lie, so this poem has basically gone to a waist. I'm sorry for everyone who read this... Expect a new poem to be updated soon.

Without any denial
I couldn't help but notice

Someone only you could hear
Things were never awkward
When we talked from dusk to dawn
We'd stay up all night on the phone
In my heart his laughter still lives on

But here I am, bawling my eyes out
Without you there's no mountain to climb
You meant so much to me
Without you, the truth is clear
I'm so sorry, I love you so much
If only you were alive to hear

I so fell in love with this poem, Em. I'm really sorry about your friend . . . and I think that it's really amazing of him, that he died so heroically. He deserved every wonderful word of this poem.

Oh wow Ems. I'm speechless. That was so beautiful and sad. I'm really sorry for your loss. I'm sure he would appreciate this if he saw it. That was so artistic and well-written. It completely changed my perspective on poems. I loved it.

I know that everyone has been like "I'm sorry for your loss" so you know I'm about to say that, aren't you? Well, I am and I really mean it from the bottom of my heart. I've never lost someone or felt like you do right now. Reading this poem, it made me tear up. Just imagining the night he died gave me a small piece of greif that you feel right now. I'm so, so, so sorry.

Thank you, Cass. There's really no need to apologize, though. It's not your fault that he's dead... :\ I'm glad this poem touched you guys. I think it was more of a memory of him, rather than a pain poem. I found a few poems I wrote for him/about him. I'll post them soon.

This poem is just... there arent words. seriously. I am speechless for once in my life. Your friend was so brave doing that. I know that alot of people would like to think that they would be able to do what he did but i doubt many would have been able to, myself included. I hope that he can read from where he is. great job again Em

This poem has not gone to waste. Even though he didn't really die, it still is a true expression of the care you feel for him. It may have taken something like the belief he died to bring those feelings to life, but they are every bit as real as every other emotion. :3 I still think this is a beautiful poem.
