You are the survivor of the Oceanic Flight 815 – that is the name of your plane. It’s dark, and you’ve settled in for the night. Suddenly, huge monsoon-like winds blew you off course, and you scream as the tail section of the plane breaks off – and you see it spin away, people and luggage break free in its wake. Fear crashes in on your brain. You don’t know what to do. It’s impossible – stuff like this only happens in books and movies…right?

P / L / O / T / L / I / N / E / [S]:
[Main Plotline:]You crash-landed on a mysterious island, no one knows where. Days pass. No one comes. People begin setting up camp, pitching tarps over broken branches and pieces of the airplane itself; waiting the time when they believe that someone will come to rescue them.
One of the men – the pilot has yet to appear – tells everyone something about what just happened. “It was like…we just hit a huge wind!” he said, “And all the sudden, all the electronics went crazy; like-like we passed over some sort of magnetic field or something!”
But there is an even strange part.
That first night, when all is silent – and the flames still burning low off the carnage of the wreck: something moves just beyond the line of trees, a terrible clicking sound erupts from within, and the trees start to wave violently – it’s called the Smoke Monster, and it haunts the Island.
A strange series of numbers keeps showing up here and there: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. The Mexican guy, Hurly – Hugo Reyas – said he won the lottery with those numbers, he said they’re “cursed”, it’s up to you if you believe him or not.
At the moment – a man named Jack Sheppard, a spinal surgeon as it turns out, has taken charge.

Those We See, But Are Not There:

- Of course, you really are not the first people who have landed on the Island – there where other people, and there still are. It could be anyone, really: your sister, who died in the Oceanic plane-crash, someone you’ve never met before, someone who crashed on this Island long before you – and has decided to show you around a bit, if you follow, that is. Some are good, yes, and very helpful, but others may not have the best intentions. But they had lives to. Flashbacks to there own pasts haunts them, still. They’re not ghosts, you know that…but there really isn’t a name for them. (Please note that these may or may NOT be rouges of the Smoke Monster).
**Note:** you must have one normal character before making those type of character. Please put “an Other” somewhere in the normal form.

- You’ve lived here almost your entire life – maybe you where once part of the DHARMA Initiative, or maybe you’ve always been an “other” as those people from the Oceanic Flight call you and your people – The Others. What || R / E / A / L / L / Y || Happened:
This mysterious island is located just above a huge pocket of magnetic energy. There is no safe way to get to the Island – except by submarine – or off it. And, for some reason, you managed to survive. Maybe it’s Providence. Maybe it’s fate.
The Island itself is off the map. Meaning no one knows it exists, though many have the suspicion. There are other people living on this island. They crashed, just like you, or some of them have, others have always been here, and still others have been brought. They’re watching you; but no one knows they exist [yet].
But why is this Island really here? It’s the cork in a bottle containing evil so potent – it would destroy the world if it escaped…escaped – from the Island. And the only thing that was really holding it back – was, and is [at the moment] a man named Jacob.
The \\SuRrOuNdInG// Area:
The Island where you have landed has a tropical feel. The water is as clear as glass, a surreal blue, a warm breeze blows, swaying a few palm trees, strange sounds emanate from the jungle. Huge mountains rise in the distance; you have no idea how large the Island is. You have crashed into a tree line hemming in the beach on which you have now set up camp. The trees are of various kinds, some you know, some you don’t. At night the stars seem very close, and brighter than you’ve ever seen before (maybe it’s your imagination). The sun rises bright over the horizon, but you cannot see any land anywhere.
~The Jungle or Forest: the trees themselves are not very thick when you begin to enter into it, but they quickly crowd in as you continue deeper. The jungle runs right to the foot of the distant mountains, but that is not to say it is all jungle. There are other things as well.
~The Rocks: if you follow the beach for a good two and a half hours, you will find the black rocks. These are simply a rock formation, rising up out of the sea, and the rocks appear black from the sea-spray, which also makes them extremely slippery and very unforgiving.
~The Moorlands: if you angle yourself to the left, and go deep into the forest, where you find the trees grow more sparsely, you’ll come out onto a large meadow of green rolling grass reaching about two inches high, and the hill overlooks the Sea.
~The Black Rock: far back into the jungle (very far), there is a huge ship that looks as if it was simply dropped there. It’s huge, with two decks, carrying large wooden crates, with warning stamped on the side – they contain highly unstable sticks of dynamite. It used to be a slaver’s ship. The name at the back of the ship can just be made out; it is called The Black Rock.
~The Tree: the Tree is an immense tree growing somewhere in the middle of the forest. No one knows quite where. Its branches spread out in a perfect circle, but there are no leaves, and no trees grow close to it, nor do any of there branches touch it. On the trunk, carved deep into the very wood, all the bark being cut away into a circle is a strange symbol.
The >/|O-T-H-E-R|\< Passengers:
Of course, there where a lot of other passengers on that plane; and they could be anyone from a once-big-hit Rockstar, now forgotten about, to someone who works at a box factory, to a orphan being sent to a new home.
But everyone has to have a leader (anyone can play any of these characters).

Xavier Spektor stared out the window. All had been clear and blue but for a few minutes ago. . .when it had started growing steadily darker.
A girl - Rose, as she had introduced herself as, when she sat down - leaned over him, staring out the window as well.
"What do you think it is?" she asked.
He swallowed. "Better buckle up."
She glanced at him, but withdrew, and clipped on her seatbelt. "Wh-"
Suddenly, the sky went dark, and they hit a roiling thunderhead of clouds head-on, and the plane shook violently.
People screamed, and Rose clung tightly to his arm.
The captain of the plane - the Atlanticus Flight - was shouting orders into the microphone, but neither could hear him.
