Another story by me! (Well, I do wanna be an author)
Character List
"Bleh."
"C'mon! It's just a bananasplit," I said.
"And I just don't care!" Alex retorted.
Wow. She was the only one I knew, who hated ice cream. It was my favorite food. That just goes to show how different Alex and I are. She may be my best friend, but we hated the same thing; I liked cats, she perfered dogs. I loved to swim, she liked sky diving. Well, I could go one forever. I'd best not... you don't want me carried away.
"Suit yourself," I said shrugging, and reaching for the ice cream.
"Wait!" she exclaimed.
I knew it! She did want it! Oh, I was too good.
"You do want it!"
"A nibble,"
"You said no!"
"Well, I changed my mind,"
"Too bad!"
I took a big scoop of ice cream, and ate it.
"Sam!" Alex whispered urgently.
I started coughing when I saw him. His jeans weren't baggy, and weren't down to his ankles, unlike some people. His t-shirt was blue, and Trever trotted after him. Alex liked Trever, for whatever reason. I couldn't see why. All the soccor players loved Trever, probably because he played it. That's no reason at all! I did field hockey, but I don't like the hockey players.
"He's coming this way," Alex hissed in my ear.
"What?! Why would he?"
"I'm no mind reader,"
"I relize that, but why's Sam-"
"Sam? What? I ment Trever!"
"Oh," I muttered.
"Yeah, Lexi is with Sam."
"What?!"
"She's talking to him . . . smaking him on the arm while laughing . . . leaning in closer-"
I jumped up, and looked at them. Sure enough, Lexi was trying to kiss him. I got up from our table, throwing my book on my seat, and marched over to them. I pulled Lexi's forehead away.
"Hi Lexi." I said loudly.
"What do you want?" she asked curtly.
I turned to Sam. "To know who you like," I said quitely.
He flushed a faint pink. "My lips are sealed."
"Tell meeee!" Lexi whined.
"Well, it's defenitly not-" he swallowed, catching himself from slipping.
You I finished his sentence mentally. He didn't like Lexi? Or me? He was talking to Lexi, but looking at me. Who was it??

Sapphire Spenning
Some-what petite with shoulder length black-brown hair, with side-bangs. She has blonde streaks, and loves skinny jeans, and Converse. She has piercing blue eyes, and long eyelashes. She wears blue eye shadow, and pink shiny lipgloss. She's never seen without a book, and is beautiful. Tall and skinny.
Alex Veerly
Sapphires' beautiful friend. With her down-to-knees wavy hair, and one green eye, one blue, she really meets the standards to the word 'pretty'. Lanky and skinny, ovbiously and athlete. Sapphires' best friend, they met in second grade, and were glued to the hip since.
Lexi Smaly
The blonde beauty; peircing green eyes, with a sugary smile. Loathes Sapphire for being prettier than herself. Lexi is popular, and a snob. Boys like her, and she is the leader of the "clique" that seems to be growing bigger and bigger each day. But the question everyone is asking, is do boys like her more, or Sapphire...?
Sam Joans
The cute boy with the dirty blonde hair; the ovbious choice to ask to the dance. Lexi and Sapphire both seem to fancy him, and he's all but oblivious. Tall, and lanky, loves football, baseball, soccer, and basketball. He seems able to do all at once. He's crushin' on a girl, Sapphire or Lexi, but which one?
