he Loves

There's a dying rose in the vase on the windowsill
The rain will wash the tears from her face
There's an empty letter in her hand, she reads it every night
She can't find courage to continue on her way

She wonders
As she looks around her
What did she do
To get this hurt

She falls down
And nobody's with her
In this place
She's lower than the dirt

Without love
Without pain
Without kisses in the rain
Without hope and dreams that always fall apart

Without smiles
Without tears
Without all the empty years
That stretch out as a gift sent from above
But still she loves

There's a note taped to the back door of the house, as she runs away
Her heart's been stepped on far too many times
There's a soft cry from a bluejay, high up in the sky
He knows just what she's feeling, and why

She's falling on her knees now
Just looking for some peace
Her hands are snowy white
Small and thin and weak

She remembers when she used to dream
Her heart was young and free
Now it's just another
Painful memory

Without love
Without pain
Without kisses in the rain
Without hopes and dreams that always fall apart

Without smiles
Without tears
Without all the empty years

With every broken thing she still has left

Thankies!! I wrote it because she is going through a really bad break up with her bf. He's a bad influence if you ask me, but she really loved him and he dropped her when he saw the new girl in our school... *rolls eyes* it makes me wanna punch him right in the kisser!
