Contests?

I think that it would be awesome if we had a contests section.
They could be for poems, names for characters, ideas for stories, or short stories themselves!
Everyone could make them. The rewards could be graphics, customized short stories, or just a nice "thanks!"
Please tell me what you think of this idea.

I've actually been considering something like this for a while now! 
Like anyone could have a contest, but every once in a while I'd have a special contest where the winner got a spot as the featured member. I think it's a great idea, and if others like it too, I'll add it.

Well, as stated in the first post -
The big ones that I do would award a prize of being the featured member, and why couldn't they just be for fun, either?
