I pushed through the forest, back the way we'd come. It wasn't hard; Lizzie had left a trail that was easy to follow. I made it back to the clearing. Jake was still in wolf form. As I watched, a shudder ran through him from snout to tail and he transformed back into a human, still unconscious, with the gash above his eye bleeding profusely.

[Malicious Nightmares]

She looked back down at the branch stabbed in, still in pain - obviously.. but wondering wether she should take it out.. or not.

My eyes fell on Hylia and I gasped. "Oh, God," I whispered, dropping down beside her.

"Phillip.." she cried.

I grabbed her hand in both of mine, too horrified to do anything else but stare.

She cried in pain again. "Get someone... help.." she whispered weakly, still in so much pain. She gently cried in pain again.

"I can't," I whispered. "I can't leave you."

[Malicious Nightmares]

"But if you don't get help.." she began, trying to hold in her cries of pain. "Or else... I'll die.." she finished, sadly.

"Don't die," I whispered. "Please..."

[Malicious Nightmares]

"Then please Phillip... get help"

[rattyjol]

I squeezed her hand. "Please... stay alive..."

[Malicious Nightmares]

"Mmgh.." she looked down at the stabbed in branch, again, and watched all her blood come out. But all tht blood.. was excluding all the blood from her bites.

"Please," I repeated in a whisper as I slowly got to my feet. "Please, please stay alive."

[Malicious Nightmares]

"I- I'll try," she said in reply, before easily coughing out blood.

[rattyjol]

"Please," I murmured one last time, before turning away.

Her blood-coughing made her unable to reply.

I felt sick as I ran away from her, half my mind screaming at me to go back, while the other half told me to go to the castle.

All she coul do, was lay there, bleeding terribly.

The thought of Hylia dying alone in the forest gave me the endurance I needed to sprint to the hospital wing. I got there just as the nurse finished treating Lizzie. She turned in surprise as I burst through the door.
"Hylia," I panted. "Down in the forest. She's dying. Help her."

(OH COME ON! Every time I catch the dang creature, I fall into the lava! XDDD At least I'm winning.. by a long shot. ))

"PHILLIP!!" she called loudly, ad she knew she was probably nearing the end of her life.

I led her down to the forest, heart pounding. Please, please, please, please...
