WCL's Riddles: Version 2

Hello again peops! Once again, I'm going to present you guys with riddles. And I'll try to make them as challenging as possible!!

2. This one is not necessarily a riddle, but it's helps with expanding your brain power:

You see these nine dots? Draw them like such on a paper(maybe more square-like, but you get my point.) then, without picking up your writing utensil, and with making ONLY four straight lines, you must try to connect these dots. (By this, I mean, a line must be going through all of them.)

3. All four sides of a house are facing south and a bear walks by the house. What color would it be?
Answer:White, you'd be in the North Pole.

4. What English word is nine letters long, and can remain an English word at each step as you remove one letter at a time, right down to a single letter? List the letter you remove each time and the words that result at each step.
Answer: Startling.

3 - The bear? White. Because the only place all directions are south is the north pole.
