Maturity: some suspense, spooky stories, possible romance, and what not
Fantasy: None

Chapter 3

After the dream was
gone, it as if a fog had been lifted off my mind. I sat up in my bed, shaking.
I pushed the hair back from my forehead, breathing heavily. What was that
about? And who was that guy? I mulled over the information I had received from
the dream. It was pretty obvious that this person wanted to meet me or I it.
Now, the second thing was how the heck did he know about the dare? Great. Now I
have a dream stalker, just what I need to complete my miserable life.

I chuckled darkly to
myself. Now I sounded like a nut case, oh well. I sighed and looked at the
clock, it was 7:00! Aw, man I’m going
to miss school! I hurried to get out of my bed. In my hurry, I got caught in a
tangle of blankets, hair and floor. After untangling myself from the mess I
flew to my closet. I yanked the closet door, gave a yell and fought to grab a
decent t-shirt and jeans.

“Lindsay, let’s go!”
mom screamed.

I sighed; great this is
going to be one of those bad days again. Then I remembered something, progress
reports came out yesterday. Did she see it yet? Am I grounded? I pushed it
aside. Brave face, breath. How bad could it be, right? I walked down the stairs one step at a time. Time
seemed to stand still, by the time I got down the stairs it felt like a year
had passed.

“Well it took you long
enough,” mom huffed.

“Yeah, sorry mom,” I said,
cringing

She shook her head.

“Sure, but why are you cringing,”
she asked.

“Uh…no reason,” I said

She sighed.
Good, she hadn’t seen it yet. I smiled to myself, gleefully. Grabbing my bag, I
headed for the bus. Outside the air was cool, and clean. I could finally
think. I was lost in my little world; a
mysterious shadow was at the corner of the house. At then end of my little conference with
myself, I made myself climb the steps and made to my usual spot by the window.

There was something
wrong, Heather and Noah weren’t on the bus. And like half the bus. That was
weird. I looked for someone I knew. Then I saw Jesse, she was the nicest girl
in the world. Maybe she knew where they were.

“Hey Jesse,” I said.
She looked terrified, like someone was going to shoot hurt her.

“Oh, hey Lindsay,” she
said, “What do you need?”

“Um…have you seen
Heather or Noah get on the bus today?”

She looked at me like I
three heads.

“Haven’t you heard?
They are missing,”

Her words
seemed a million miles away. They were missing?
But how? H-mystery guy. Didn’t he say that we would meet? But he didn’t
say he would kidnap my friends. I went to school in a daze and feeling sick. It
was definitely going to be a good day. Not.

Question - are all these different parts sequels to the story, or part of the same story? Because if they're the same story, you need to post them in the same thread. xD

I .added 1& 2 here for any that did not get to read!
Enjoy!

Prologue

Have you ever been
dared a dare so big it made you cringe? Well, if you have kudos. If you haven’t
please pay attention: I am about to tell you my story, you can tell one! Got it? Good. Now where shall I begin? The beginning
perhaps? Then let’s begin.

It was the thing that
every one had to do. It wasn’t a thing, more an event. It was like a calling
card from a group of friends that told the whole town you completed it. But,
the mysterious thing about all of this is that many kids would go missing.

Now everyone knew about
it. We were teased, warned and taught about this. We all knew when we would all
have to do it next year, all 8th grade students did. And the better
it was the more accept we were in high school.

But, I had an advantage,
me and my two best friends Heather and Noah had planned this ever since 6th
grade. What is this event you ask? This was a Halloween Dare.

Chapter I

It was a normal Friday, so normal in fact it was boring: school, bus
ride home, homework and of course TV. But today…today was different not
different-different. More like spine-tingling, scary house, Big Dare day
different.

Of course this was the day I have been
dreading for weeks. Today I forgot to look at calendar to confirm my fear today
in fact was October 30th, 2009. I right I was at school fearing the
worst, this how it began.

It was just another
boring day, in another boring lunch period. My friends and were sitting away
from everyone else at the very front table, away from every one else as usual.
We were also going over tonight’s plan.

“We all know where to
meet, right?” I asked for thousandth time today.

“Yes Linz,” Noah said shaking his head, irritated.

“It’s so obvious, who wouldn’t know,” heather
agreed.

“Alright smarty pants
what time are we meeting?” I questioned.

“Seven-thirty,” they
chorused, smirking.

“Ok then whose going to
do the dare?” I prodded

“Um… we haven’t even covered that yet,”
Heather whispered, looking over her shoulder.

“Yeah I would call that
an ‘undiscovered topic’,” Noah agreed.

“Ok, so you still haven’t answered my question, who is going to do it? I
smirked at their fear.

“Not me,” Heather shook
her head, curls bouncing wildly.

“You’ll have to count me out on this too, but I’ll bring supplies,” Noah
offered

I gaped at them in
surprise, again. They wanted to back
out, now? After all the planning, preparation and five hour phone calls? This was supposed to be a group thing,
not a one-man-band thing. Then again when we did or wanted do something fun I
was the one doing it. I was the one hiking or cliff diving while they watched.
I was the one the one who asked Heather boyfriend out because she was too
nervous. I was the one who stayed up till 12:30am to fix and finish Noah’s science project for him. And it looks like I had
to do the dare too, just great.

“Fine, I guess I’ll do the Dare by myself,” I huffed

“Sorry,” the muttered, looking down at the table.

“Whatever,” I said waving away their apologies with my hand.

“But your still coming with me,” I said holding there gazes.

They nodded their head too scared to speak.

“Talk to you guys later,” I muttered getting up from the table to dump
my tray. That when I started question myself. What if I do get lost? Or what if
go missing? What if-Stop! Stop doubting yourself, your brave and smart
you can do this. I encouraged myself. You have nothing to fear, and why are you
scared? To tell you the truth didn’t know why I was scared. I just thought this was the scariest thing I
would ever do or so I thought.

Chapter 2

Just when I thought
this day couldn’t get worse, it did. When I came home I was in a state of mind
that no one wanted to be in, depression. Because of this dare I could no think
straight, like a part of me was gone, dead almost. I did homework, the dishes
and got ready for bed mechanically. I was silent the whole night, in grossed in
my deadly plan of attack. I ignored calls from both Heather and Noah, still
disbelieving that they would leave me alone on this one. But a part of me was
glad that they did. I would be the first kid, ever to do the Dare, alone.

I stayed hunch over my
plans perfecting them, down to the last detail. When I finally put down my
pencil, it was 1:00am. Tired, and grasping to the last ounces of consciousness,
I crawled into bed. This night I dreamed.

I woke up looking into the vast starry sky, watching the many lights.
Off to the right of me something moved, watching and waiting. I sat up slowly,
making no sudden moves to tip the creature or human off. I kept my eyes
forward, I watched as the shadow moved forward out of the corner of my eye.

“Hello Lindsay,” it said.

I said nothing,
waiting for the thing to expose its self to me. But until then, I got to
finally see my surrounds. Looking around I saw many headstones and a large
crypt in the distance. As I waited, I focused more closely on one of the
headstones. It was beautiful,

vines curling
around either side, outlining the owner’s name. I leaned closer to see the
name.

Emily Miller

1912-1914

“Be loved daughter
and sister”

I had to look
away. Why her? I asked myself.

“She died because
she was too naïve to understand,” the voice answered.

“H-how did you get
into my head?” I asked nervously.

“Show yourself!” I
commanded.

The voice laughed darkly.

“Very well,” it
said.

I looked towards the direction of
the footsteps coming towards me. Then the figure appeared. It was the most
interesting thing to be or person seem so dark.
It was a guy.

He was tall, lanky
and had very deep green eyes. I couldn’t look away I know it’s rude to stare,
but I’m sorry ok but he was handsome. Yet he looked so familiar. He laughed,
throwing back his head. When he laughed it seem to bounce off invisible and reverberated
inside my head, almost knocking me off my feet.

“Just as naïve as
Emily, but a little more smart and beautiful,” He observed. “And yes Lindsay,
you will know me,” He said, but it sounded to like it was a promise rather than
a statement.

“You have no idea who you’re talking
to,” I snarled. This guy was really getting on my nerves.

“Yes, I think I
know very well,” he said, smiling.

“Do you really
want to get hurt,” I challenged.

“Now, now a little
testy are we?” He taunted.

“Oh, and shouldn’t
you be going, don’t you have a dare to do?” He reminded me.

“Yea, so could y- could you, like wake me up
or something?”

“Very well,” he
shook his head. “But we will meet again,” he whispered.

Then he and the graveyard were gone.
