Re: Religion?
Neo-paganism is a general term for fairly modern religions that are influenced from pre-Christian beliefs. They normally have multiple deities and sometimes deal with magick, nature, ritual and such.shadowsowner888 wrote:Wait, I have a question . . . what exactly is neo-paganism? I've never actually heard of most of these religions, but that one in particular has me curious.
Wicca would be the most common example of Neo-paganism.
Good idea for a reminder.Jesus4Eternity wrote:Christianity.
And, just reminding y'all- do NOT get into arguments. It happens a lot on religious threads...
*coughs* Yeah, that's just from my knowledgeable little brain... Didn't copy all of the options from some government site or anything. XPLuckyPenny666 wrote:Traditional/Conservodox Jewish.
Wow, there's a lot of variety on the poll.

I am a proud believer in... nothing.
Kiri is, indeed, an athiest. My good friend at school says I'm cool because of it. Heh.

Oh, okay! xD Lol, I think I know now who chose that option.
Re: Religion?
That's cool, Kiri. I can totally understand that. I find religion hard to believe in sometimes, too.

Re: Religion?
Well, er..
I don't know my religion.
I think I may be Buddhist.. because I really like the ideas of Buddhism, but I'm not entirely sure.
I guess, I'm Catholic by my parents..

Re: Religion?
If you like the idea of Buddhism, I'd suggest you take out a book at the library and read up on it. It could be life changing. That's what I did with Wicca, and now I'm a changed person... Well, somewhat. I still need to work on it more, but I'm getting there.

You're welcome (;
Yeah, I'm reading about Buddhism (: My mother studied it for a few years, so, she can help.

Re: Religion?
My mom's a Buddhist. It's actually really cool. x3 It'd be my second choice of a religion, 'cause you don't need to believe in any kind of god. xD
Re: Religion?
I think, if I wasn't brought up Christian/Catholic, I'd be a Buddhist without a second thought. It just seems like a big decision to completely change my religion and at a young age.
Anywho, sorry if this isn't on topic.

Re: Religion?
Yeah, good point, Ari!
It's on topic, because it's about religion. But yeah, I definitely understand what you mean... Changing religion is a huge decision. It takes a lot of dedication, too. :/ But it's doable if you set your mind to it!

Well, I wanna be... It might be kind of cheating considering I learned about it from the BIFN series. xD Whether witchcraft or not it sounds cool. I'm still researching on it.You're Wiccan?

Re: Religion?
Oh, that's sweet. (: I'd recommend to you Silver Ravenwolf or Scott Cunningham's books. You can find them in any New Age section in a library. "Teen Witch" by Silver Ravenwolf is a good starter if it's available to you.

Re: Religion?
I was looking to see if there was a copy of "Teen Witch" in the nearest library just a few days ago. Unfortunately they don't. xP I think I'll ask my parents if I can go to Borders sometime, 'cause I know they have a version there.
Thanks for the help,

But, way back in time, winter started on December 25th. xDjessirey wrote:Cyn431 wrote:I'm one of those non-religious people. I do tell people I'm Christian, however, 'cause I celebrate Christmas. (Or Big Winter Festival Day... xD)

Re: Religion?
Nah, I actually don't believe there was a specific date. For some religions it started on the 25th, some it started on the 21st, others had completely different calendars... So it really can't be disputed.

Thank you for voting, guys.
Haha, I think that would fall under the "other" category, JR. I would have had it up there, but it wasn't on the top 20 religions of North America list, so yeah.
