Forever Gone

On our last day
My head held high
Awaiting the sky to fall
As the clouds breathe

And the World will burn with my love
My tears will dry with the Drying wheat
As the flowers Wither my heart will fail
While the Earth weeps my veins bleed

Poison burning through acid rain
Shifting perspectives frozen ice
The never claiming ocean grays
And as our Mother looks down

I watch as you walk before me
Then the world will burn with our tears
And our love will fade like these words
Forever disappearing behind the fog
