As the card unfolds,
your heart opens.
Ready to hear what's been written from his soul.

The messy handwriting, written as neat as he could
The ink, bright pink, appealing, as it should.
Handmade, conjured up by himself, a handmade craft, nonetheless.

Your eyes meet the first word
A smile meets your precious lips
As you whisper the words,
the words whisper to you,
in his calming sweet voice...

The first time I saw you
you were walking up to me
your eyes dazzled
your smile warm
but your personality....

You were something else
Something different
Something unique
Something great

I felt myself grow dizzy
at the sound of your velvety liquid voice...
I was sliding into a warm safe place
And if the world had ended right then, I wouldv'e been okay.

Many of times I asked myself
If I could trust I person so much?
If it was smart?
Probobly not?
Could I get hurt?

I told myself to give you a chance
I gave you the key
and you unlocked my secrets.
There was no going back.
And I was liking the rush.

Then came the first date.
We had hit it off well...
And then came the second, third....then eight...
The farthest from farewell.

Then a cool february morning
the 14th to be exact
We talked, we walked, in my head were a million warnings...

Don't fall to hard.
Just walk away.
Your already in to deep.

I ignored my common sense, and dug deeper.

Your soft eyes were full of compassion, strength, and understanding...
and something else too...
A smile danced across your lips,
An awkward tension filled the air
and I leaned in for that one special...
kiss...
it was truly extrordinaire.

During that moment...
that split second in time...
a million thoughts could've run through my head...
but the one.
the only.
thought that dared to cross my mind was...
"Would you be mine?"

He looked up as I read the last word
His eyes full of question.
"Do you love me? Will you be my bride-to-be?"
I asked him one question, "Will you be mine?"
In cupid's agreement we both whispered "I love only you, valentine."
