\\About this Role Play//
Must read before joining

The wolves are NOT nice to each other.

Mates are rarely taken, besides the boss. (No, not alpha. It have been proven to be the wrong term)

When your wolf first meets the boss, to show that it will look up to it to be boss, it must roll onto its back, and flash its underbelly

The boss will step down when it dies. Its pup will take over, repeating the cycle over and over again. (NOTE; The person whom has started the pack (Ex; I have started the Sawtooth Pack) will ALWAYS stay alpha unless she/he chooses to let the other member lead the pack for them.

There is no camp, fresh kill pile, or dens. The wolves kill elk fresh and eat it before scavenging bears and coyotes come to steal it. They might sleep and hunt with a mate, if they find one.

The wolves depend on pack hunts mostly. Rarely will a wolf hunt lone.

This is a REAL wolf Role play. PLEASE follow these guide lines, or I will warn you.

These packs are based on REAL Yellowstone wolf packs. If you want to and I accept you making a new pack, I will choose the name of the pack.

Wolf pups are easily killed. Bears, cyotes, and hawks are always watching...

Emotions (below) will be much appricated if used.




WOLF EMOTIONS




Scared- Ears flicked back, tail between legs.
Angry- Ears flicked back, teeth bared, muzzle wrinkled, tail up, back portion of body almost sitting, front paw bent and up, low pitched growl
Mad- Ears upright, teeth slightly bared, tail straight out, low growling
Sly- Ears upright, smirking, walking low to the ground.
Anxious- Licking nose, white half moon eyes, sideways glance, ect.
Attention Needing/wanting- Stamping feet, whining
Sad- Sitting, ears flicked back
Hurt- Yelping/whimpering/squealing, tail between legs, ears back slightly
Sepreation Anxiety- Howling, whining, running around, Ect.
Playful- Intense growling, not showing teeth, tail wagging, ect.
Alert- Standing with spine straight, neck upright, ears upright, eyes moving rapidly from one place to another

No fighting outside of the Role Play

NO gory hunts and fights are allowed

The boss will ALWAYS lead pack hunts. Anyone who leads one without permission, will have to hunt alone.

Bears and coyotes will frequently steal prey, so have that happen sometimes

Wolves don't always make a kill, so they shouldn't ALWAYS catch elk.

Swearing is NOT allowed

The Territory

Some wolves like to sleep in the hollow Elm Tree log. They DONT use beding, because a real wolf wouldn't, right? The territory is mostly a fresh, green grass. But there are some rocky parts here and there. There is a pure blue lake in the middle of the territory, Yellowstone Lake. The pack usually meets at a cliff face each night for some grooming and a pack howl. Then, they part and go to find somewhere to sleep. The Boss sleeps in a den. Its a flat rock on the top, and Aspen dug out a den underneath it. She will share it with the special someone that she meets, and he will lead pack hunts with her in the Elk Hunting Grounds. The Elk make up most of the wolves prey, but if the wolf is starving, it might kill a coyote. There is a large cattle ranch out of the territory, and it makes easy kills if you can sneak out of the pen and into it, without the dogs spotting you.. The farmer always has his gun, too..


Available Prey
Elk have just gotten done having calves, so they might make easier prey if you can separate them from their mothers.
Rabbit are frolicking freely everywhere, and not really paying attention
Coyotes are still scavenging around wolf territory, along with bears.
Lake trout are flourshing in the lake
Cutthroat trout are being deminished by Lake trout...

Weather
Its about 80 degrees in the sun, and 67 in the shade. Its partly cloudy and sprinkling, but it might turn into a Thunderstorm tonight, and we'll have fresh water for tomorrow! Check back tomorrow for another update.
