Masks Don't Cover Everything Up

Not easy to be who you are
In a world full of fakes and lies
We all have a giant scar
That will never give up its fight

Words hurt, you know it's true
But yet we pretend we're fine
It's funny, the things we do
To make our lives seem right

Is it just me, or is everything falling
And it's only happening to me
While I'm sitting at home, bawling
Everyone else is is alright

So you put on a mask and dry the tears
No one really has to know
That who you are is living in fears
And you'll never step into the light
