My World Of Blue

Everywhere I look
There's blue all around
I like this world
But I feel I might drown

I go to the top
I can finally breathe
There's no more blue
I can clearly see

I liked it better
When all was blue
I go back to that place
There's so much I can do

Again I surface
Just for a second
I need to catch my breath
But the blue seems to beckon

Back to the blue
Back to my little world
Where everything that's there
Just seems to swirl

I wish I could stay
For a little while longer
But I can't be in the blue
Unless my lungs become stronger

I get out reluctantly
Trying not to argue
'Cause someday I'll go back
To my world of blue
