Body Paint

Paint my forehead and cheekbones with swathes of black, so I blend with the onyx and ebony.
I want to look like I'm drowning.

You will dye my hands in shades that are named as vermilion and scarlet.
I want to look like I'm bleeding.

My stomach must rival a blue jay's wing, with my feet bordering on indigo.
I want to look like I'm freezing.

Tinge my shoulder blades and earlobes with colors of grapefruit and safety vests.
I want to look like I'm burning.

Splash the rest of me white.
I want alabaster, chalk, the whites of a healthy persons eyeballs, the freshly opened pages of a book, an angels wing.
I want to look like I'm disappearing.

Oh, how I've missed your poems. This is wonderful.
