A Different Point of View

Rocks are just rocks, you say
Just black, gray, brown, and red
But they can be candy treats
With plentiful flavors instead

The sun, to most, is just a star
Warming every place
But some see it as a lemon
With a sweet and sour taste

You know your favorite melody
You'd know it anywhere
But have you ever imagined it
The color of a bear?

Grass can simply be just grass
To fill up empty land
But imagine it as green sprinkles
Like wonderful flavored sand

Colors are just average colors
A rainbow in the sky
But some are very soft and smooth
Some are rough and dry

The ocean is an ocean
Nothing new to see
But a really big cup of juice
Is what it can also be

For once, take a moment and forget what you know
And you just might find
Not everything is as it seems
Just open up your mind

Add some flavor to the sky
Color in a song
Feel the texture of the rainbow
Just what can go wrong?

Take away the blandness
And just try something new
Try a minute to see the world
From a different point of view
