I stand in a crowd and try to disappear
I'm not one to stay when a battle is near
I'm not the bravest, or anyone's dream
I'm not brilliant or cunning, I'm just what I seem

I don't have any extraordinary talents
I am not wise, and I'm certainly not valiant
I won't stand in front with a sword in hand
Don't count on me to be the one to take a stand

I'm definitely not the type to lead or guide
I'm typically the one who will run and hide
If there's conflict or dispute of any kind at all
I hide in the shadows, too afraid that I'll fall

Although I'm not brave or outspoken or cunning
I'm not brilliant or wise or by any means stunning
Although I'm not a leader or beautiful or strong
I will stand behind and be someone to fall back on
