Picture Perfect... Or Is It?
Summary
Olive, a natural born tomboy gets convinced to go onto the internet. SHe soon gets addicted, it risking her friends, boyfriend, and family. She lies about herself on the internet. When she ends up meeting the people, what will happen next?
Chapter 1 -- Olive's Perspective
"You should really try it sometime, you know." Emily kept trying to get me interested in the internet. "No! A million times, no!" I exclaimed, getting a bit angry with her. She always brought this stuff up at the worst time. The worst. Whether it be cheerleading or track, she just wouldn't give up! I fept on running and running, as Emily just tried to cetch up. Now, my name is nothing more simple than Olive Woods. I was a red head, had green eyes, tall figure, and many describe me as 'the sporty one'. I don't mind this name at all. To me, it's actually pretty flattering. But that's my opinion. I'm in Eastwood School, where all the jocks and populars belong in. You know, all the crap. There's always two sides to a story, and this is my side. The right side. I then jumped a hurdle while Emily was trying to tell me the 'advantages' of the internet. She just repeated the same thing every day. I had never been introduced to the internet, simply because my mom wanted me to grow up as a tomboy. I knew there was a computer, but who needed it? "Come on! PLEAASSSEEE!" SHe begged, as didn't time her jump as she was about to jump the hurdle I just jumped. Kapoosh! She fell down face first into the red sand. I couldn't hold back the urge to laugh, "And that is an advantage of being sporty! So you don't fall down and people laugh." I rolled my eyes, as we just kept on running and running. Emily was slightly older than me by a few months, 3 to be exact. She was 15.
****
"Please. Just. Do. It. For. Me." Emily started begging and pleading. "FINE!" What had I just said? I mean, really? "Okay, see you at my house after school!" She smiled, skipping off to her next class. I wanted to hit myself with my locker. I was not looking foward to the end of school. No, not now.
Author's Note: Not the best for the first chapter. xP
