Adult Snowballs

OK, so I got my first adult Snowball and he had been a cat when he was a hatchling and he still is. My second one was a dog as a Hatchling, now he's a cat? Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Yes! I had a purple fox and it upgraded and now it's orange. ):

Ahh!!! My other dog Snowball is a cat now too! I had two dogs and two cats, now they are all cats! Bleh, this had to happen now.

That's weird... all my snowballs are the same as when they hatched, but they're still hatchlings... Did it only happen when they'd grown up?

Yeah, my Snowballs Glaze and Frosty were dogs as hatchlings, now their cats. I wonder if this is why I don't see many adult dog snowballs.

What it seems like to me is that the forms might be randomized . . . ? So when it grows into a hatchling, one random form gets picked, but then it becomes an adult and another random form gets picked.

Don't assume I know what I'm talking about, though. XD But no matter what it is, I'm 99% positive it wasn't supposed to happen.

I'm pretty sure this is just something crazy, 'cause this has never happened to me.
(Except the ones that are supposed to be gender specific. I always get two that look exactly alike for those. Unless it only shows in adulthood, both of my burgers have the male image, and if there are any others, I have two of the same for those, too.)

Also, once upon a time I had a trade with Amanda for a Void Fox and Ari was nice enough to ensure that the egg hatched as a Void Fox, and it did. So I believe that the form is determined the moment the egg is created, but I could be entirely wrong.
