One Busy School Year
Alright, so I knew there was a reason for pulling all those all nighters this summer. I just got my class schedule for next week. I got my leadership class, which requires 80 hours of community service, my Algebra 2 honors, which is going to give a lot of homework, and my English 2 honors, a class that I am already not doing so well in.
So here's the deal. With my spot on the top Student Council board, I'm going to have to be in the leadership class, probably the best class the school has. Along with all the fun and games in that class, we have to have 80 hours of community service a year, or semester, I'm not really sure... and I have to be there for all the sports matches to sell food and help out. Our school has a lot of sports going on all the time... Then I have to plan assemblies, attend Student Council meetings, fundraising, and a bunch of other stuff. This is just for one class.
Ok, my Algebra 2 Honors is going to be hard. Personally, I'm not very good in algebra, I'm better at geometry, but whatever. Its going to be faster paced, with a lot of homework and tests and quizzes. And my teacher, who I had last year for Geometry, is probably one of the toughest teachers, when it comes to pace. He goes fast, and if you don't understand the section, he'll just keep going on, and you will be lost. If he does help you, he explains it the same way, so that you aren't really helped at all.
Now my biggest issue here is English 2 Honors. Last year, my English 1 Honors teacher said that I didn't get a good enough grade to go into English 2 Honors. So I didn't get the summer reading assignment. Now I have that class, and the summer assignments are a huge part of your grade. So, if my teacher lets me, I have an assignment that is supposed to take 3 months, and I may only have a week to do it. In addition to all the regular homework I am going to be getting for that class.
And I am going to try and get a job, because we need money badly, so I am going to try for an after school job.
So, Ill have meetings, sporting events, community service, dances, work, algebra, and English, on top of any homework I'm getting from any other classes. I am going to live on 3 hours of sleep, if I'm lucky. This year is going to be fun...
