The Fall Twig Awards Nominations 2009

Welcome to the first TWIG awards nominations! I'm your host, Alex Taylor!* On this thread, you can nominate your favorite things for awards and I'll either make a poll or thread about it, and then we will find out the winners!

Confused?



If people asked enough questions for FAQ, this is what they would be:

1. Isn't this like our Featured forum?

If it was like the Featured forum, I wouldn't be making it. I don't want to copy it. xD It would take too much work. xD I'm lazy.

2. How does this work?

I'll pick categories like Best TV show, Best Comedy Movie, and you will nominate your favorite TV shows, movies, people, foods, or whatever would fit. The ones I pick will be the ones that are relevant, so for Favorite TV Show, don't nominate McDonald's.

3. Will the categories be related to TWIG?

No, because that would be for Featured. The categories will be related to entertainment. TV, Movies, Fashion, you know. Those kind of things. This is kind of like a Teen Choice Awards thing, but without the celebs and the performances and the drama and lame jokes. xD Well, maybe lame jokes.

4. Can I present an award?

We'll see. If many people want to present an award, I'll PM them a 'script' with a picture and whatnot and they can copy it in, as if they're reading off one of those screens on TV. But I'll probably just be me posting the winners on 1-2 big posts and then you guys say, "Yay!" or "Aw!" because it would be too hard to make sure that everyone remembers to post their awards.

5. Can I give a speech?

A speech? But if you're not winning anything... there won't be any speeches. Why? Because the people accepting the awards don't know about this. xD And you can't because... there's no reason. xD

6. Does this involve Canadian trivia?

Maybe... xD

7. Can you delete/add categories?

I might delete a category if people don't post for it. So please post, because it will make the awards better. I am completely willing to add categories, but it must be a topic that can have at least 4 candidates. Or whatever. Don't do something like Best Strawberry Patch, because no one would know what to nominate.

8. What does 'Reserved for Avvies and Siggies' mean?

It means pretty much that. xD If I have time, I'll try to make some Avvies and Siggies for the awards, but it would be a huge help if you can make some, too, because I'm really busy lately with public and Hebrew school, and trumpet lessons. Avvies and siggies aren't my main priorities. xD

9. Will you add nominate things yourself?

Of course! Who said I can't participate? xD

10. Is your real name Alex Taylor?

Nope. It's my pen name. Alex is my real first name though, but Taylor is a random last name. Well, not random. I picked it because I love the name Taylor.

11. What does Worst Celebrity mean under Best of the Worst?

Jerk. A self-centered celebrity who isn't down to Earth at all. Careless, self-centered. Not nice at all. They may be talented, but we're talking about personality. When nominating for this category, don't be too harsh. This might be deleted.

12. Should we nominate for all the categories at once?

Of course not! There are too many of them. I don't even expect you to even nominate for every one.
