Oh, so soft flowers
Velvet beneath my fingers
Cushion against my skin.

Washing away worries,
Even if just for a minute,
That soft, velvet touch.

The silky smooth petal
Rubs smoothly on my skin,
Erasing my fears.

The pink petals are velvet,
the blue ones are silk,
Oh, that velvet touch.

Whoosh! The wind blows
the flower out of my hand.
I leap to catch silk.

Brushing my fingers,
the silk and velvet wave good-bye,
floating in the wind,

Watching the petals,
float slowly away in the wind,
I know they'll bring joy
somewhere else.
