Hex smiled lightly, but pushed any thoughts of the matter off. After a minute he pulled away, feeling alittle awkward.

{*snorts*}

Julie shrugged it off, saying, "I wonder where Terry and Tommy are, anyway? And Andy too?" A thoughtful expression came over her small face.

Hex shrugged "We're gona have to run into them sooner or later"

Stephanie walked alongside Terry, babbling something off in French. By both of their detatched sort of faces it was an almost forced conversation.

For the at least fifteenth time in twenty minute he gnashed his teeth, "Mdaomesille Singleton, I do not nor have I ever spoke French. Please repeat it in English."

"Zu Eeengeeh men!" she snapped at him. "Joo are lucky my pappa eez eenterested een these!"

"I know," he said casually, "I know."

"Looks like it's sooner or later," mumbled Julie out of the side of her mouth to Hex. She sat up a bit and waved to Terry, "Hi, Terr," she paused and saw the girl, knowing who she was because Elie had told her about her, "Bonjour Stephanie."

The French girl looked up and smiled, pleased to be pulled out of the dull conversation, "Bonjuor... eem... Vhat eez your name?" she asked in a mized French-New York tone.

Terry seemed delighted to be free of the conversation as well but, when he saw Hex and her that close the smile flickered. "Hex, Jules," he nodded to the two of them.

Hex sat up slightly, his mouth forming into a strait line as he gave a sorta wave before glancing to the side.

Julie snuggled a bit closer to Hex and smiled, giggling a bit, "Julianna," she replied to the girl, looking up at Terry and smiling again. "What'zup?"

Hex gave a week smiled, doing like he had told her and he tried to act like he was her boyfriend...though...that wasn't to easy for the boy

Terry nodded but you could see something flicker in his eyes, "Nothing much... Just disussing plans," he said in a sort of secretive tone. He wasn't planning on revealing much but--

"My father eez eenterested een heez joke shope. I zink eets silly! Who would buy a... a... What do you call it?"

"Puke Platoons? Day-Dream Crabs? Fake-Wands? Fire Bombs? There's a bunch," he said in a calm and dismal tone. But what it was from was clueless.

Julie glanced up at him. Discreetly one hand pinched him in the side, hard, as she wiggled underneath his arm. "I like the joke shop. Oh! Did I tell you?" She stood, dragging Hex to his feet with her. "Hex and I are dating now." She smiled.

Hex gave a weak smile towards Terrry as this happened, his arm now drapped over Julie's shoulder. Ooh boy he hoped Terry didn't do anything to him.

"Flaming Bubblegum... coisants--" he'd still been listign various items. "Oh, what? No... Congrats," he said with an expressionless face. His eyes fell on Hex's face but didn't say a word.

Julie smiled at him and then frowned slightly, surprised that he didn't seem to be showing any emotion. With a silent sigh she said, "Oh, thanks." She smiled again at him, now more of a weak, totally un-confident smile.

Hex sighed, seeing how he reacted and how she was taking that. He squeezed her shoulder comfortly, almost like a real boyfriend would do.

Julie looked up at him with a slight smile, standing on her tiptoes and whispering in his ear, "Thanks,"
