I stopped in mid-air still flapping putting my hands on my hips.
"If you are crazy enough to think I would tell a complete stranger my name you need help" I said.

"Mmm Hmm that is what I thought." I said, "Now where did you come from?"

"Pour on the speed," Jack said to me, using sign language.
"No freaking duh." I said with my left hand. Folding my wings the slightest bit, I dropped an alarming fifty feet, then I zoom upward and stopped dead in front of the mutant freak. Jack came up behind the girl a few second after me. Since we can't hover, and flying vertical would let her go, we circicled, as if she was our prey. Which was really weird. Jack pipped up.
"What's your name?"

I nodded, putting her head in my lap. Okay, if Erasers found me what would I do . . . ? I reveiwed all the possiblities, noted the escape routes of the cave: there was the entrance of course; deeper into the cave-but that'd be to my death; l and a small skylight I could zip through if I folded my wings.
I absently stroked her ratted hair, wishing Jack was here, if not Jade.
I had to know they'd come, or they wouldn't.

I fell asleep quickly. I stayed up all night everynight while I was at the school.

"Oh. Well I've only broken out of there once" I said.

In the morning, I moved Kara's head off my lap, and crawled over to the fire on all fours. I spent a lot of time thinking about the past these days, which, predictably was what I was thinking about when I roasted a squirrel I had caught. Thanks to raptor vision, lighting fast reflexes, and the ADD I have, I had caught breakfast. Over easy and ham sounded better; you know, way back when, when I wasn't trying to get eaten by Erasers.
Should I wake her up? the thought played around in my head for a bit, getting jumbled with all the other pointless wonderings of everything around myself. Sighing, I shook Kara's shoulder, pulling the somewhat burnt squirrel off the fire to cool.
"Breakfast, sweetie, hope you like it cripsy." Cripsy or not, I would eat it raw if I hadn't had the luxury of wood and a lighter. Lucky moi.

Oh, please. Why not? I crossed my arms, having my irritated rant inside my head, trying not to mutter-believe it or not, I do that sometimes-and studying this Avian as much as one can study while flying above someone, trying not to hurt them. I would rather 'accidentally' fall on her, but the chick seemed, ooh what's that word? Lost. I, having my own built in GPS (not really . . . ), never got lost. Like, as in, lost lost, as in dunno where I'm at lost. But she seemed lost, as . . . "'Cause you could be an enemy or a friend." Jack broke into my thoughts loudly, over the wind.
"Yeah," I agreed. I did that a lot, nowadays. "I'm Jade, that's Jack. Now land, before we make you."
That threat sounded better in my head.

Bee rolled her eyes. "I'm Bridget or Bee. Don't care what you call me"

"Land." Jack's voice was firm, and itimidating. He angled his wings sharply, coming up right in front of Bridget, keeping her from flying. He started angling upward, not being able to hover very long.
"K. Now, like Jack said; land. Or we will make you. And that's a promise."

Bee rolled her eyes again. She angled down and landed sharply. "There, I landed. Happy?"

"Far from it," Jack grunted, glaring at her.
"Thanks for landing, or we'd have to snap your wings back. It's painful. And funny," I laughed, high-fiving Jack. "Now, were are you from? Beside The School? Are you alone? Are you looking for someone, something? And, do you need help?"

I started eating. Yum, squirrel.

"Glad you like it so much," I snickered, giving her another piece. I swallowed mine whole and dug in for some more. "After this we need to get into the air. I figure your about 15-25 pounds, give or take, so I can carry you."

(My phoen is on vibrate, my friend texted me and it scared the crap out of me! I was like, "WOAH! What the heck just happened?" It was funny. Everyone is laughing at me.)

I finished both pieces. "More?"

[xD That's hilarous. One time I freaked my aunt out. She didn't know my number and I sent her a text that said 'I see you' she was freaking out, and I was cackling at her xD]

"Plenty," I gave her the rest; she needed it more than I did.

I gobbled it down. I was still starving because I barely got anything to eat at the school.
