I froze. I remembered the empty cradle. I couldn't speak. I just looked at Brittani with my eyes bugged out.

"Nothing," I said quickly. "I just forgot that we needed to get the baby's furniture."

I got mad at her. "That's why you cut yourself?! Because you killed someone! He deserved it! She didn't, but that was just an accident. You didn't mean to over medicate her...did you?"

I opened the door and we set off down the street. "Do you know where the shop is?"

I had to admit. That hurt. It really did. Did I really consider this guy my best friend? Highly unlikely...yet, he was the only person that's hung around in my life for this long..."Well, then..." I paused. "I guess..." I started. "I guess I won't be asking you to train me anymore anyways." I ran off. Though, oddly enough, a few tears escaped from my eyes and trickled down my face. Why should I be sad? I mean, that guy has always, ALWAYS been rude to me. So, why should I be sad? I'm not sad. At least...I don't think...

I just stared at her. "Anything else?" I still couldn't believe that she over medicated someone on purpose.
