Poll: When Did You Decide You Wanted to be a Writer, or Started Writing for Fun?

I can't remember when i started writing.... i guess i've always loved it. i remember one of my very earliest stories that was any good was about a girl who found a mysterious box in her attic and got pulled through it into a dungeon in mideval times. I think a prince saved her, but i don't remember. xD

Uh... About 2 years ago when I started watching the Naruto anime. I started writing fanfiction about it.

Like, months ago, when I'm like, "I wanna write, like Shadow."

I decided actually probably when I was 11 or 12; I wrote a story for this other website I was on, and then I just kept writing! XD

Maybe about a year ago. I just randomly started writing little meaningless poems.

Forever, really. I've always loved writing.

I wrote my first real story in first grade, I even got my mom to type it for me. It was about a cat and a dog who both wanted a toy or sometihng like that, lol.

I have no idea! xD I have loved writing for so long. I wrote a story in Kindergarden (my first story probably) and it was about a princess and two birds. I think their names were Clockia and Mockia. xD I named them whatever came to mind.

Well I was browsing the writers guild and I stumbled across this post which talked about NaNoWriMo. I then seriously looked into it and was bummed it wasn't sooner, so I started my story on the first of June.
I have 26,600 words now, so I think I'm doing well

Lol, I'm just weirded out at myself. I've only been writing for a few years, and I already feel like an expert on it, especially cus people keep saying how much they like my stories.

Um... A long time ago. This sounds really dumb but when me and my friend where like tiny, I'm not even joking, we were like 6. Well anyways we had these little stuffed animals and we started writing stories about them and then we would act them out with the stuffies. They were even from a different planet even though it was the same. I forget its name though. LOL. I reread them and it was like: We saw another cat. "Hi," said the black cat. We were surprised. "Hi," we said back. It walked away. Then we saw a brown dog. It barked. We ran away. That's not word for word but it's pretty close. LOL. Probably the first serious story was in 1st grade. I got second in young authors and then I guess I must have been good for elementary 'cuz I went every year from then until it stopped. XD

No, when I was 7 and wrote Neopets stories.

Haha. I found out I wrote earlier 'cuz I found this little book from like kindergarten or first grade that I made. Of course it was horrible but I'm proud... xD

I was wrong about that. In 2nd grade we had to write stories to try to get them published and mine was one of them. That was the first actual story I ever wrote. It was about me and my cousin.

Err, I just started writing my story here and I realized I really love writing, so this year.

I only started writing for fun in like... Hmmm... Grade 7? Maybe Grade 6? Idk. I wrote a story about a skunk and a wolf when I was like 7 or 8, though. XP

The same story I'm writing now was the story I started writing 2 years ago (Beyond Reflections). It started out as a story about some dog thing, then about a unicorn, then about a flower.... But I trashed all of those and started over with the one I have now.
