Alice Dawson was wandering around outside, little Avery walking in front of her. Since her little legs could not support all of her weight, she had to hold Avery's tiny arms above her head, supporting some of her weight. She laughed quietly, watching as the toddler cooed delightfully when a small butterfly landed on her nose.

Derrick was suddenly walking behind her, and he grabbed her around the waist in a hug, laughing "Hey there!"

Alice squealed with surprise, and grinned up at him, gently letting Avery down so that she was sitting. She giggled quietly, "Hey." She greeted in return, smiling at him happily.

Derrick smiled. It was a happy smile, showing that he was possibly the happiest he had ever been in his life "Hows your day been?" he asked, picking up Avery "Hey there little girl" he smiled, tapping her nose.

Alice smiled at him, "Good." She said, "Trying to show Avery that there are other words in life than the word no." She chuckled.
Avery giggled delightedly, her dark brown eyes wide and sparkling happily. She smiled, and hugged him, wrapping her little arms around his neck.

Avery pulled away, and shook her head, clapping her little hands, "Noooo!" She said quite joyously, sticking her hand into her mouth and giggling.

(Woah. Me thinks me killed the DE o.O)
(Oh well, here is Michael's story part 1)
Michael’s Story
“I can’t believe it’s already been over seven years since it happened.” Michael Lee murmured, his eyes blank and dull.
Beside him, Alison Guackomoli sighed. “It just doesn’t seem real.” The two shook their heads sadly, both now in their early twenties. “I still remember the day as if it were yesterday. Enid sliding that blade into him and all.” She shuddered. “I hate him. I wish Enid was dead…not…you know…”
Michael fell silent. He too hadn’t been able to say the name lightly either. The two sat in an awkward silence till Michael looked up. “Do you want to visit his grave now? You know, today would be his 26th birthday.” Michael asked. Alison nodded weakly and Michael took the women by the hand and led her out of the DE.
Together they stumbled numbly across the overgrown path towards the small grave stones. The path used to be cut fresh and clean, people constantly coming to mourn for the lost warriors from the battles long ago. But a year went by and soon the memory drifted from their heads. By the fifth year, only the closest to the fallen remembered. Even more time passed and now there were only six visitors left to visit the old grave site. Michael and Alison, the most frequent visitors also cut back on their time. They only went every six months after Alison swore she could hear him laughing in the breeze. Michael and Alison crashed through the bracken, sticks snapping and thorns snagging on their bare legs. Soon the dark and shady forest around them opened up into a light and still clearing. The two mourners cautiously stepped inside, their hearts racing. Michael headed straight for the grave while Alison wandered along the edges of the cemetery. She circled around two identical headstones of a pair of lovers and stepped carefully around another blank slab of granite. She felt tears rush into her eyes as she saw one of her best friend’s name engraved in the cold rock. Shayne was killed in the battle along with all the others in the field. Alison sped up her pace a bit and made her way back to Michael.
“I think it’s the best one.” Michael remarked, staring up at the tall marble dragon rising above him. “You know, I think if he were here, he’d be smirking. Either that or blushing. He was always very modest.”
Alison dropped her eyes from the dragon’s blank eyes to the grass ground in front of them. She saw the scattered yellow roses and red carnations lying haphazardly around the dragon like a carpet. Shockingly none of the flowers—ranging from pink tulips to green pine branches to pure white lilies—seemed to have aged. One of the dragons at the DE cast a spell over the area so that nothing would ever grow old. Thus the flowers that would hold their beauty forever. Finally after a long pause, Alison responded to what Michael had said.
“Mich, if he was with us right now, we wouldn’t be here, standing in front of his grave! And of course his is the best one. He’s the stupid one who sparked the whole revolt. If it weren’t for his stupidity, the Slayer’s would still have control.” Her voice broke and tears ran down her small face. If he wasn’t so flipping brave, he’d still be alive. Alison added in her head, causing loud sobs to escape from her mouth.
Michael’s brow furrowed. “It’s okay Ali. This is probably what he would have wanted.” He stepped toward the sobbing young woman and wrapped a protective arm around her racking shoulders.
After a few more seconds of crying, Alison spun away, hastily wiping at her eyes. “I wasn’t crying…” She mumbled. “And if you even dare to tell anyone about it, I’ll kill you. Okay?” Long strands of mascara stained her cheeks but Michael didn’t have the heart to tell her. He just nodded.
Alison flipped a strand of mousy brown hair behind her head. “I think I’m ready to go back now.” Michael didn’t say anything but he nodded and offered his hand to Alison. Together, the two slipped out of the clearing, their souls feeling much calmer then before.

(surez! The only problem I have is some of my characters weren't supposed to make it past seven years so I have to update them. I don't exactly have an exciting list open right now. Is that fine?)

Avery giggled, "Mama!" She repeated, delighted at the sound of her cute little voice.

Alice grinned, "Good!" She said, kissing the top of Avery's head.

Alice thought for a few moments, and the grinned. She pointed to Derrick, "Can you say Derrick?" She asked.
Avery tilted her head, taking in a few deep breaths as she tried to pronounce his name. "Dee-wwick. Dewick!" She giggled.

(Maybe rolleyes)
(You'll find out. I need to work on narratorless writing for school so I'm going to add a few more and maybe you can guess from those.)
(Seriously? Who!?!?!)
(Is it still Claire?)
(Is he still in a wheelchair or did something happen?)
(BTW, Ali and Mich I think are hooking up. Technically they aren't bloodline related and they barely even related anyways so it wouldn't be awkward.)
