Maturity: Non-gory fights and battles, some blood, serious romance including serious kissing. And death. Smoking of 'pipe weed' in long pipes, and alcohol.
Fantasy: What can I say? 'Tis LotR, it's 100 % fantasy.
This role play is based of the Trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien. All original characters and locations are his.
Yes, the end of Bag End is coming. The dark hobbit Smeagol seeks revenge on his fellow Hobbiton friends for stealing his prize pumpkin. And it's up to the heroes of Middle Earth to stop him before time runs out. Are you ready? This will not be an easy war.
Rules:
1. First come first served. The faster you join, the more likely you will have a shot at using one of the original LotR characters. List of open characters at the bottom, only two per person.
2. No powerplaying or godmoding.
3. This role play takes place in middle earth, so you will have to situate yourself with the land and locations. Map and location descriptions at the bottom of the page.
4. This is a semi-elite role play, so I expect at least three descriptive lines per post.
5. Use brackets ({[ ]}) when OOC.
6. Use your best grammar and punctuation, and use descriptive words.
7. No cursing AT all.
8. No gory scenes, and nothing more romantic then kissing for now.
9. I play Smeagol, a.k.a Gollum. So don't ask if you can be him or use him in your posts.
10. Follow all TWIG rules.
11. PM me (Sweetcreola) all forms.
12. If you're using an original character, make sure the character acts like they're supposed too.
13. I would recommend reading the books or watching the movies before joining, or you may be extremely confused.
14. The Istari (wizards) have staffs, not wands. Only five Istari exist. Two of them are original characters.
15. If you have read the rules and agree to them, put R.I.P J.R.R Tolkien in your form.

Éowyn: Human; Beautiful and strong, the Lady Éowyn of Rohan is the niece of King Théoden. Despite her noble blood, Éowyn is not one to shy from combat. Adept with sword and shield, the Lady is quite capable of defending herself. When the men of Rohan leave to do battle in defense of their realm, Éowyn longs to be allowed to take arms and join them, though her gender and office forbid it.
Legolas: Elf; A Prince of the Elven Kingdom of Mirkwood. Legolas possesses the keen eyesight and sharp ears characteristic of his race. Taken by Warriorcatlover.
Samwise Gamgee: Hobbit; The loyal friend and gardener of Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee is a stout hearted Hobbit. Though simple in outlook, he is dependable and brave. When Gandalf chooses him to accompany Frodo on his quest, Sam makes a simple promise not to lose his master and friend. Grima Wormtongue: Human;, Devious servant of the wizard Saruman, Wormtongue was an adviser and confidant to King Théoden of Rohan. Wormtongue used his influence on the weakened king to manipulate the Rohirrim people to his true master’s purposes. Gandalf revived Theoden from his magic induced coma in The Two Towers. Grima was cast out of Rohan and fled to Isengard.
Witch King: Ring Wraith; Lord of the Nazgûl, the nine terrifying Ringwraiths, the Witch King of Angmar was the chief lieutenant of Sauron the Dark Lord. Once a great king of old, the Witch King, like all the Nazgûl, was enslaved to the will of Sauron by his magical Ring of Power. In the physical realm the Witch King was little more than a spirit wrapped in black cloth, a fearful presence, but when seen by Frodo in the spirit world, the specter's true guise was revealed, a twisted and malicious fiend, still bearing the tall crown of his office. Boromir: Human; the eldest and favored son of Denethor, the current Steward of Gondor, was chosen to represent the race of men in The Fellowship of the Ring. But the Ring's lure was too much for Boromir, who tried to take it from Frodo. He was redeemed when he was killed by Uruk-hai trying to protect Merry and Pippin, showing great courage and heroism. Éomer: Human; the nephew of King Théoden, Éomer is one of Rohan’s mightiest warriors and a captain among the ranks of their fine horsemen. After the battle at Helm’s Deep, Eomer and the Rohirrim wait for the call of Gondor.
Gimli: Dwarf; a proud and strong-willed people, the Dwarves of Middle-earth were great craftsfolk, skilled in the arts of smithing and metallurgy. When Frodo is appointed his quest, Gimli the Dwarf represents his people as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. Gimli is a mighty warrior, quick to draw his broad axes in battle. Not given to subtlety, he wears his passions plainly for all to see. Yet for all his impulsiveness, Gimli is none the less loyal and noble in spirit. Once committed, his resolve to the success of the quest is unshakable.
Frodo Baggins: Hobbit; Frodo is a most unlikely hero. A Hobbit, small and quiet, but possessing a true and noble spirit, Frodo becomes the bearer of the One Ring when it is left to him by his famous Uncle Bilbo. The task therefore falls to him to do what no one else can, and destroy the ring by casting it into the fires of Mount Doom. Treebeard: Ent; Ancient beyond reckoning, Treebeard the Ent is one of the last of his dwindling kind, the long forgotten tree shepherds of Fangorn Forest who once strode throughout the woods of Middle-earth. A wise and slow to act people, the Ents are persuaded by Treebeard, after his fateful meeting with Merry and Pippin, to awaken and lend their long slumbering might to the fight against the darkness threatening their world. Treebeard leads the March of the Ents and succeeds in flooding and destroying Isengard’s war machine.

Arwen: Elf; the only daughter of Elrond, Lord of Rivendell, Arwen is said to be the most beautiful of all living beings in Middle-earth. Born to an immortal life as an Elf, Arwen must chose between it or to forsake this everlasting existence for the love of the mortal Aragorn. In so doing, she dooms herself to die as a Human. Denethor: Human; the current Steward of Gondor rules in the stead of the absent King. His sons are Boromir, who died trying to protect Merry and Pippin, and Faramir, the Gondorian ranger who encounters Frodo and Sam at Osgiliath. Denethor grieves the loss of his favored son, Boromir, and refuses to light the beacons to call for aid from Rohan.
Galadriel: Elf; Oldest of all the Elves that remain in Middle-earth, the Lady Galadriel dwells in the forest haven of Lothlórien, surrounded by her Elven followers, and husband Celeborn. Of all the wise, Galadriel is possessed of the greatest foresight and bestowed upon Frodo several gifts to help him in his quest, including the Phial of Light. She knows that the time of Elves is coming to an end, and soon she must join her kind leaving the shores of Middle-earth for the Immortal Lands to the west.
Bilbo Baggins: Hobbit; a jovial, but eccentric Hobbit of the Shire, Bilbo is the much loved uncle of Frodo Baggins. Bilbo enjoyed a long and prosperous life after his earlier adventures with the wizard Gandalf and the Dwarves,in part,due to preserving qualities of the mysterious, magic Ring he had found in his travels. He surrendered the Ring to Frodo in Fellowship and made his way to Rivendell to end his days among the Elves.
Elrond: Elf; a wise Elf Lord, Elrond is the father of Arwen, and founder and master of the Elf-haven Rivendell. In the Third Age of Middle-earth Elrond is an instrumental leader, rallying the diverse peoples of the lands together to fight the threat of Sauron. When his daughter Arwen contemplates forsaking her immortality to bind herself instead to the Human Aragorn, Elrond’s heart is torn between honoring the love of his daughter and losing her to a mortal death. He orders the shards of Narsil to be reforged so that the rightful King of Gondor can reclaim his sword.
Faramir: Human; the youngest son of Lord Denethor, Steward of Gondor, Faramir is brother to Boromir who perished defending Merry and Pippin. Unlike his brother, Faramir is not beloved by his father, and has spent many years as a ranger, scouting and defending the wild borderlands of Gondor in order to earn his affection. Gandalf the White: Istari; After the great battle with the Balrog of Moria, Gandalf shed his grey mantle in The Two Towers and took up the title of Gandalf the White. The power that had lain veiled beneath his old grey visage now shines undiluted in the eyes of the pale wizard. King Théoden: Human; Monarch of the land of Rohan, King Théoden is a courageous leader and soldier. By way of the slithering machinations of his servant Gríma Wormtongue, the fallen wizard Saruman is able to subvert and poison Théoden’s mind, for a time plunging Rohan into darkness and despair, but through the intervention of Gandalf, Théoden is exorcised of Saruman’s influence. Restored to health and soundness of spirit, the King banishes Wormtongue from his hall and again leads his people with wisdom and bravery.
Saruman the White: Istari; Once the wisest and greatest of the Istari, the Wizards of Middle-earth, Saruman fell into darkness when he delved too deep into the study of his enemy's ways. The wizard's pride and love of power overcame his wisdom, and all those to whom he had been known as friend became his enemies. He became the chief adversary of the freedom-loving people of Rohan, and by dark means, bred a vast army of terrible Uruk-hai warriors to conquer their lands and destroy them. His force of 10,000 Uruk-hai were defeated at Helm’s Deep and his fortress of Isengard flooded by the March of the Ents.
Shelob: Giant Spider; A massive spider whose lair is where Gollum once lead Sam and Frodo toward.

Arwen came out of the bright, cheery forest. Sure it was a nice place, but it could get monotonous after you'd been listening to the birdsong and the wind for a long time.
