Teloren unsheathed his knife. He twirled the blade and hilt with his fingers for a little bit, flipped it in the air and caught it by the hilt, before sheathing it again. He became serious again and stepped outside of the kingdom.

When he got to a small clearing, he unsheathed his silver knife, not wanting to risk anything. "Lazuri, does she have a blade?"

Kortella's smile slowly faded.
A smile gently spread across Lazuri's face. She pulled out a blade, just perfect for Kortella, and handed it to her. "But now she does."
Kortella's smile gently came back. "Thank you, mommy!"

Teloren smirked and stepped a few paces closer to them. "Show me how you think you're supposed to hold the blade, Kortella."

"Er..." she took a wild guess, holding it the way she had seen Lazuri hold it... or at least how she GUESSED Lazuri held it.

Teloren glanced down at her hand. He adjusted the position a little and some of her fingers. "Keep a tight grip on it. But make sure you're still able to block and attack at different angles with it."

She nodded, glancing down at her hand for a few moments, examining how she held it.. she'd remember.. for as long as she could.. even if that'd be approximately two seconds.

Teloren held his blade in a defensive way. "Now, try to aim a blow at me. Don't be afraid of hurting me."

Kortella shook her head. "I'm hungry.."

"But what're we gonna eat?" Kortella asked.

Teloren propped himself up against a tree, still facing them. "Up to Kortella." He twirled his knife with his fingers again.

Teloren's eyes went soft and he embraced Kortella gently. "Calm down, Kortella. Don't cry." He ran his fingers through her hair.

She gently stopped crying, giggling softly, letting go of her blade to hug him tightly. "I love you, Daddy!"
A smile gently formed on her face as she watched the two. "I love you too, Teloren."

Teloren smiled back and stepped to Lazuri's side. "I know." He kissed her cheek and looked back at Kortella.
A cloaked figure (yes another one of my infamous cloaked figures. XD) watched from a distance with the eyes of a preying beast. He didn't have good intention on his mind at the moment.

"I love moments like this," she whispered.

Teloren looked up at the sky. Nothing gold can stay.. Don't think Lazuri would like to know that though. He looked back down to Kortella, then Lazuri, thinking again.
The figure silently and slowly unsheathed a long knife. Teloren owes me. For all those years ago. Still hidden among the shadows, he made his way closer, as quietly as possible.
