I Dare You to Lie---Poem by Sweety.
Maturity: Not really.
Fantasy: No.
This is based off my diagnosis and experience with Anorexia Nervosa. This eating disorder is coined 'Ed' by those who've had it and by experts.
Although I may be recovered, it never truly goes away.
I happened to glance in the mirror
At myself
Again.
I heard you whisper in my ear,
Softly that I wasn't needed
That no one cared.
I believed every lie you told me
Every day.
I wanted to,
Fade away
Into the mirror.
Wait.
I think I saw
A reflection that I
Didn't know,
Something else
I didn't want to see
But I was blinded by my
Loneliness.
I thought you were
My friend,
A lie if there ever was one,
I dare you to lie
Again,
To my face,
Betrayer.
Sick to my bones
No one could know
How I felt
Every time I heard you
Whisper in my ear
I was filled with fear.
Where was I going?
What path have I chosen?
Why did I believe you?
How could I not see through you?
Ed.
Ed,
How sad,
That you
Took so many lives
Just because
They wanted to
Be good enough
For you.
Tired of waiting
For an answer
Sent away
Possessed by your screams
It never really seemed
That your plan
Ended in
Death.
Lucky to be here
Writing this poem
I dare you to lie
Again, Ed
Lie to my face.
There it is! Please comment and tell me what you think.

Ooooh. That's who Ed is.
That's such a sad poem! But it's really good, too.
