Anyone got a bigger goal?

So, the goal's 50k, right? xD But are any of you aiming for higher than that?

I sorta am. I have a feeling I could write 10k words a day or more if I really tried, so I'm gonna see if I can get 100k instead. Even if it's 75% crap. If I just write a few hours every day, instead of going for the minimum like I did last time, I can definitely do it.

Well, I was planning for 150 500-word phases, so I guess my goal would be 75,000 then. Even though it'll probably be mostly crap. xD
And I'm still on phase 20 in planning! xP

Nice. xD Idk how long my phases are gonna be in writing, but I'm debating whether to even plan out any more phases at all. It's so much work, and I'll do fine if I just elaborate on my plot a teeny bit more.

I really need to get started on my phases - and I completely forgot about character development! Oh noes! xD

Psh, I just need to finally start writing at all again, period. I haven't worked on any of the important stuff since the last vacation we had. o.0

Well since I am on the YWP I am setting my goal for 20,000 since I have never really done this before and then in December for Novel finishing month I am going to aim for 30,000 so by the end of December I will hopefully have 50,000 words.

I'm gonna just go for at least 50k, then take a break if I make it before the end of November. I likely won't, unless I can actually get on all the time.

Woot! If I write three hours a day at the speed I was free writing, I can get just over 10k words. And I was going back and deleting some things, too.

There's this ebook that talks about them. What you do is plot out your entire story in little scenes, and do it with so much detail that you know exactly what to write. That way you'll never get stuck. But you also have to do it vaguely enough to where it wouldn't be considered actually writing the story. So you don't really include any details - just what's going on.

Then you count all the phases, and divide that into the number of words you're aiming for. The number you get is how many words you have to write in each phase. So you lengthen them all with detail and writing them the normal way and such when November comes around. It takes a lot of preparation work, but it makes November really easy.

Oh, I owe you a lot for this, lol! *pokes* I never woulda found out about Nano if not for you. Which means I probably wouldn't have finished Dragon Soul by now if not for you, either. xD

It's going pretty good! I'm in the middle of the third edit, and I''m hoping to finish within the year . . . >.> Psh, I'm slow. But I'm proud of myself that I haven't given up yet. And I found out a lot more about how the dragon thing works. xD I mean, yeah, I came up with it, but it's still a learning experience.

That is amazing that you didn't give up. I would have probably never finished it. xD
