I fell back on the bed, into a sitting position. I put my hands on the top of my head, and looked down in misery. "How could this happen?" I asked on the brink of tears. "All of our other kids came out fine! So why now?"
"Fine," Sasouki said looking at Neko. He started petting him, and started to get more comfortable holding him.

(LOL Yeah! I guess it would be! It'd be mostly fabric though.)

I kissed her passionately. My heart should've felt like it was going to fly out of my chest...but it didn't. Was it because of the subject we were just discussing? Or was it the thought of her with somebody else?

Kurea woke up and stared at the ceiling. She had been back for a while now and hadn't seen Lee since the first day.

Lee was at the training grounds again. He was thinking about Kurea while he was training.

Kurea got up and decided to get busy. She made a huge strawberry cake since she had missed like, 4 of Lee's birthdays while she was away. And because she just really, REALLY wanted to make a strawberry cake. =D

I kissed Shika back with as much passion possible. My heart ached with pain, just thinking about Shika dying. How could I possibly move on, if he died? I said I would...but would I really? If I would go as far as to kill myself to be with him again, what would happen with him if I died?

Why now?! I repeated that question over, and over, and over again, until it drove me to never ending madness. I asked a question, that I didn't even want to ask. "Are you going to deliver the baby?"

I pulled away from her. "We need to get going," I said. I picked her up, and started running again. "You know...if you...go away...I'm not moving on." I looked at her to see her reaction. Nobody can make me feel, the way she makes me feel.

"What happens if our child has a fatal condition, and it survives? What then?" Tears excaped their cage, and fell. "It would have to go through so much pain, just to be with us. Would our child be that lucky to survive a horrible experience, just so it could be with us?"

I stared at him. I didn't know what to feel. I was happy that he would never forget me. But, if I died, I didn't want him to be forever chained with the regrets of not being able to protect me or the sorrow that always accompanied death. I didn't want him to move on...yet, I did.
