The Dragon Emporium [Book 10]

Leon quickly grabbed the too-hard-to-safely-eat loaf of bread and stuck the whole thing in his mouth. “Meh fam’y? ‘Ot ‘uch ‘oo ‘ell. Bey uh, ae, um—” He said through a mouthful of stale bread.
Griffen rolled his eyes. “Just forget it! Okay, you don’t want to tell me. Fine!” He said, sounding disgusted.
Leo at least had the dignity to look embarrassed. “So’ey,” he was able to say around a loaf of bread.
Griffen glared at him and looked like he was going to say some scathing remark when a light almost hesitant knocking came at their door. He threw Leon one more glare and walked towards the door. “I might as well answer it since you can’t even talk right.” Leo stared down at his feet, chewing glumly. He shouldn’t have stuffed so much bread in his mouth at one time. Already the crunchiness and gooeyness one gets from stale bread at the same time was making him feel sick.
That’s what you get Leo for trying to hide it! Flower thought back to him in a sing-song voice.
Leon ignored her and continued chewing, a grimace stretched across his face.
Meanwhile, Griffen was already at the door. He sighed and pulled open the door and couldn’t hold back a gasp. Standing only a foot in front of him was a tan girl with wavy brown hair to her mid-back. She smiled at him and stuck out her hand. She instantly her hand dropped with a gasp and pulled out something from her pocket. She laughed breezily.
“Hi. I’m Brixy Knight. Um, I’m sorta new so Miss. Frost told me to uh, come here for help. You are—” She looked down at a sheet of paper that looked very well worn from handling. “Goo—Gooack—Goacki…” Brixy stumbled over his last name like so many other people had. Finally she just stopped and a reddish color spread across her face.
Griffen felt his face flush. He opened his mouth to say something and closed it immediately. What are you doing?! You are acting like an idiot! he yelled at himself. Something inside of him clicked when he saw Brixy. She was perhaps the most beautiful thing in the world—apart from Herwhi of course. His tongue felt like it was tied into those quadruple knots he learned how to tie in Boy Scouts all those long years ago and all of a sudden his palms were sweating. He probably would have just stood there and the two of them would have shared that awkward moment longer had Leon not half-limped into the conversation when he did. He held up one finger and pointed to his mouth. Brixy waited patiently as Leon swallowed and politely giggled at his expression as he swallowed one last time. He cleared his throat and introduced everyone around but forgetting to mention himself. Griffen wasn’t exactly in a state though to say anything about it. He was too busy trying to figure out how to speak English again.
“Yes, Miss Knight. This is Griffen Guackomoli who Miss. Frost probably sent you too” Leon said, pointing to the still red Griffen. He shot Leo a look of gratitude and nodded.
Brixy smiled and turned back to Griffen. “So Mr. Guackomoli—”
“Griffen. You can call me Griffen.” He was finally able to sprout out those few words but even they had raised an extra octave at the end.
“So Griffen,” Brixy started again, her smile growing wider. “Miss. Frost said to come to you about finding a place to stay and getting a dragon. Are you the right person?”
Griffen shrugged. “Apparently I’m now the welcoming committee here at the DE—Dragon Emporium.” He said and corrected himself after Brixy looked confused at his acronym. “I should be able to find you a place though.” He winked at her the same way Eduardo had winked at him when he first heard about the DE. Finally his voice was back to its normal pitch and the red across his face was evaporating.

(Actually, he's 14, forgot about the extra year. But anyway..uhm..can you start?)

{Uhm...xD I can't remember if I have anyone around that age, Fwp! DANG!}

Hannah fell silent for a moment, pondering. She then quietly counted on
her small hand, "One, two, tree, four.... four!" She announced,
giggling like a little girl who had just got caught doing something
bad.

Sophia turned pink, "Hannah!" She laughed, picking up the
little girl, "You little ninja." She said with a grin, tickling her
tummy.

Brixy Knight was standing in the middle of the hall, water dripping all over her, and a scowl on her pretty face. Shards of some plate were scattered around her feet and something wet and soggy was lying at her feet. Amid all the chaos was a grinning Sirius. Sirius was Brixy’s recently hatched dragon. He was already the size of Flower despite being a year younger. A white star sat upon the top of his magnificent black head like a crown. No one had figured out his power—until now of course. Griffen snapped his gaze back to Brixy. Black mascara lines poured from her eyes and it wasn’t till Griffen heard her sob that she was crying as well.
“Brixy!” Griffen shouted, running up to her. He grabbed her hands and held them softly.
“What happened?” Leon asked, coming up behind Griffen at his normally slow pace. “You look like…well, you look like crap. Did you walk through a carwash?”
Griffen shot him a glare and Leon shrugged. It was an honest question.
Brixy didn’t seem to notice. She just pulled one hand away and wiped at her eyes. “Oh. Well, part of it is good news. The other part... not so much. The good news is Sirius found his power. He can control weather. He made it rain over me a few minutes ago. But that’s not the bad news.”

The man let Brixy hug him yet he felt no comfort from it. He sighed
again, feeling the words choking him. He could still hear the words as
his brother rasped them out, his eyes wide with pain. "He said..." The
man started again. "My brother's last words were 'I forgive you...'--"
The man stopped. He closed his eyes and whishpered the last bit.
"Griffen."

(Gawd. Isn't that depressing? I get my 100th post talking about death)

pockets until he came upon a familiar looking girl.."Claudia? Is that
