The Place

I don't know what inspired this poem.
I don't know why I wrote this poem.
and I'm not even sure I know what it's about.
I'm confused about it myself.
But.. here it is.

The Place
This home he owns
Is filled with rainbows
And ice cream cones,
With no friends nor foes.

It’s a nice place to be,
Away from the bad outside
There’s no pain nor misery.
Nobody has lived nor died.

It’s a place of distant dreams.
You don’t know what’s going on.
There are no sides nor teams.
Nobody has lost nor won.

Everything is even-
Everything the same.
Only one thing to believe in.
No pride nor shame.

It’s a place with no thoughts.
Very odd, indeed.
With adults and little tots.
No tantrums nor greed.

Although the place sounds nice.
All things we’d do with ease.
We all must pay a price.
To do everything we please.

So, I think it’s only right.
To stay where you are.
And earn your happy light,
instead of moving to the place afar.
