Brook woke up the next morning she kicked the blankets off of her and stood up. She walked outside and sat down on the front steps.

My fingers fumbled as I walked up to the front steps. My parents were gone. Forever. And I'd never see them again in this lifetime. I covered my face and sat down on the steps, and started to silently cry.
