Half-Blood Haven: Vampires, Werewolves, and Spies... oh my!

Michael was wandering around inside, listening to his iPod. He was dancing, and let me tell you, he's had two centuries to practice-- so he's very good. Every time he would come across an open window, with the sun streaming in, he would quickly dance around it.

From one of the many corridors in the apartments emerged two teens. One was about sixteen or seventeen in looks, her long ink black hair was pulled into a braid and fell over her shoulder. She wore long black skinny jeans and a red and black, off-the-shoulder long-sleeve. Her boots were caked in mud and dirt but she didn't seem to care.

Her companion couldn't help but to be her opposite. Daniel wore khaki cargo shorts that ended somewhere around his knees, a summer green kind of polo shirt and flipflops that a dog might have chewed on. His chocolate brown hair was wild and covered his emerald green eyes slightly. "Still think you're nuts!" he sang with a smug sort of smile.

Harper snorted. "Your sister might, but mine won't," he said,
"Emma is stubborn. Once she thinks something, she won't change her
mind. Ever. Even if her original idea, how you say, 'sucks.' She'll be
perfectly fine with her thoughts, even if they're wrong...It's just the
way she is. Right Soph?"

"Left Soph!" giggled Sophie.


Emma
chuckled, "I don't care what my brother or Derrick says," she
responded, staring out at the forest. "Human food does me good for a
little while, but I need to hunt. So does Harper." She paused, adding,
"And I don't need to listen to Derrick, technically. He actually wasn't
flirting with me today, so I have the right to ignore him," she giggled.

"So you only pay attention to him when he's flirting? Sad, sad, sad... You so like him," she giggled and laid down, staring up at the cloudy sky. It was peacful silence then she sat up, "I don't care what Dare says! I'm not letting myself get locked up..."

And, hearing this, Severus walked even faster, shielding the side of his face so not to be recognized. But, somehow, he ended up bumping right into Harry. He coughed slightly, muttering a curse word, "Um.. sorry." He said quickly.

"Unless you can trick her," Harper said. "Despite Emma's mindset, she's good at falling for pranks and lies and such..." He shook his head. "In other words, she's pretty gullible if you can hide your thoughts from her."


Emma glared. "Do not!" she snapped. "And--and, uh---EWE, n-no!" She crossed her arms. "I do not! That's--er--gross!" But this, of course, was a lie. She tried changing the subject with a hearty, "That's the spirit! Me neither!"

Confused, Harry squinted down at him. "Who're you?" he asked, his voice ringing with his accent thick.

Michael turned around, stopping his random dancing, and glancing over his shoulder while walking. But, since he wasn't paying attention to where he was going, he bumped right into the two. He was extremely skinny, and his fairly large T-shirt, and skinny jeans emphasized this. He wore black vans, skinny jeans, and a fairly large, red T-shirt. His curls were in a ski-type hat, as they usually were. "Oh--sorry." He apologized.

Severus cleared his throat quietly, looking up from the ground. He was about the same size as Harry, except he was a little thinner. Snape was always like that. He rocked back onto his heels, "No one." But it was his voice that may have given him away.

Derrick nodded and smiled in a crafty sort of way, "I'll have to keep that in mind for future reference... More so if I don't want her to catch onto something I'm doing..." He sighed and nodded, "Ame's pretty smart but she's incredibly uncoordinated. Usually when she does it around someone she thinks of 'important' she starts frekaing out and bumbling like an idiot."

"You so do!" Amethyst giggled, her eyes extremely wide now. "You're in love with my freaking brother!" she squealed. She totally by-passed the second part, "I knew it!"

"What it!" Cassie gave a sort of snarl. She wasn't usually th efriednliest person in the world but she wasn't exactly the meanest either. She was sort of unhappy medium and he just happened to have caught her on a bad day.

"Cool it Cass," Daniel looked at him and smiled, "It's cool. No harm, no foul," he said with a shrug. "I'm Daniel and this Princess Polite or Cassie." He looked at her with a sort of chuckle when she wrinkled her nose.

"I can introduce myself, Danny," she said with a sort of expressionless voice. Her lips had curved into and almost smile and she nodded, "As has said, name's Cassandra."

Emma just about tackled Ame. She clamped her hands over her mouth and glared. She was stuttering and babbling; "I--I do not!--I-I am not!--Shut up!" Emma actually looked mildly panicked. Partly because she feared Derrick might hear this, and partly because she didn't want it to happen. Luke had a thing for her and she knew it; she knew she should probably just give up on Derrick, since eventually he'd die, but Luke wouldn't....But, then again, Luke had murdered just about her entire family, and she couldn't stand the thought of thtat. She didn't want to be in love again; she didn't want something bad to happen again; she knew she'd just die if something bad happened again....

Come on put two and two together, Harper. Important... Special, better than ordinary..."



Amethyst's jaw dropped and she started squealing behind her hands which were clamped around her muzzle. She ripped her hand off and let her jaw drop, "You really do like my brother..." she whispered and sat up, completely stunned. "Oh my gosh, this is so... weird."

{xP Actually, it was Luke who charmed Emma the other day and made her make out with him. }

Emma's eyes were wide in--fear?--and they were sparkling. She opened and closed her mouth a few times, then put her face in her hands, looking ready to cry or something. She wasn't even sure. She just knew she was afraid now...if Derrick found out...if something happened to him...



Harper chuckled, "Oh," he said with a nod, "I see, I see," he grinned, too. Then he blushed a little, pale pink, and shrugged. "Uhm. Like. Disabled people?"

Harry frowned. "No, I know you from somewhere," he said.

Severus's eyes widened just a little, and he shrugged his shoulders, and lied, "No. I don't think I know you." He said quickly, turning back onto his heels and beginning to walk away once more. Now, it was pretty obvious. Potter would have to be blind not to notice.

Derrick grinned at that and nodded, "Yeah, the Law of Dare." He started laughing and shook his head, "Yeah, sure. Disabled people... Let's go with that," he rolled his eyes and shook his head with a snort. "Wow... and I thought I was dense."



Amethyst hugged her and sighed, "I'm not going to tell him, promise. Got no reason to and sides that'd be cruel to do so. Your secret's safe with me... Yikes, if you ever tell Derrick, you're never going to live it down."

"Snape?" Harry's jaw dropped to his knees and he just stared, dumbfounded.

Severus paused in mid-walk, his foot suspended in mid-air. He cleared his throat quietly, and turned around again, facing the dumbfounded boy. "You tell me." He replied, his eyebrows raising.

Amethyst was laying out in the field, completely hidden by the tall grass. She'd been avoiding her brother all day who insisted she'd stay in her room but she didn't want to be locked in. She was in long blue jeans, a red tank top and had on a black hoodie. She was currently trying to keep her tongue in her mouth but it wasn't working... "Stupid Derrick..."



Derrick was actually sitting on the dock beside the lake, skipping stones gently. It was a nice breeze actually. He wore long crago pants and a black t-shirt which exposed a pair of fangs marks in his arm. He also had one in his neck odd enough.

[Who are the four people that he hits on again? I'm pretty sure one of them is Emma. ]

"Excuse me?" came a smooth voice from above Ame. "Do you know where Harper Casta is?" The girl was tall and slender, her figure like an hour glass; it was showed off greatly by the tight black shirt she wore, and matching skinny jeans. Her hair was voluminous and crimson/black in color; her stance was catlike and her expression was fearsome. This, my friends, is Violet Fantasia.


Emma hesitantly sat down next to him. "Hi," she said quietly. "Uhm, have you seen Sophie? I can't find her anywhere...."

Harry gaped. He blinked a few times and fixed his glasses. "How?" he asked.

Severus slid his hand over his face, "Um... no idea." He replied rather awkwardly. He rubbed the back of his head with his hand, rocking back onto his heels. "How would you say?" He asked. It was weird; now being the same age Harry probably was.

Harry frowned deeply, "Oh," he said. "Er..." He shrugged a little, quite confused. "I...I dunno..." he murmured.

Amethyst sat up and looked her over. She felt so awkward with her long, bushy and unruly brown hair, hidden figure and dull eyes, "Not that I can say." She said truthfully. "Um... who are you?" she asked curiously.


Derrick looked at her and smiled a bit, "No, actually I haven't..." he snapped his wrist adn the rock skipped across the lake breezily. "Maybe Harper has her or something."

Emma groaned softly. "No, Harper's looking for her too," she said, putting her head in her hands. "How do you loose a four year old?" She paused and answered the question in an angry grumble, "The same way you let yourself be charmed into making on your worst enemy, I suppose." She shuddered.


The woman smiled and laughed sharply, airily. "Are you sure? I was told you hang around him a lot..." she mused. "I'm Violet. Harper's wife?" Now, this man confuse our readers, so I'll take the time to explain;
Harper did date her for five years, but had then married her and been married to her for ten. He had divorced her afterwords, because of what had happened but Violet is, obviously, insane.
