I walked toward the edge of the cliff, on the island that I called home. It was a small island, inhabited by few people, including my mother, my brother, and me. My mother, Elizabeth came up behind me quickly. I looked out into the sea, I knew it was in my blood, it was in the blood of my father. William Turner, captain
of the Flying Dutchman. I wanted to see my father. Just then my brother, Will came up next to me. I was sick of this! I just wished that I could go with him.
Sail with him for ten years. My mother wouldn’t tell me what he was doing, but I wanted to know. I wanted to sail.
We had been living here for as long as I could remember. Even though we moved here after I was born. I was lonely. Not lonely for people, lonely for the sea. I had been swimming since I was about two. I hated fishing, anything that meant killing part of the ocean was not for me. But what I wanted, more then anything in the world was a boat. A big boat. A ship. I had my eye on one, a beautiful one made out of mahogany wood. With a glorious helm, and the prettiest crows nest I had ever seen. It was so high, so beautiful. Majestic. That was the word. Majestic. Maybe that would be what I named it. Majestic. No. I had a name in mind.
This was the first time that Will was going to meet our dad. I’d met him only once when I was about three, and this was my second time seeing him. Will, being himself, got over excited and leaned off the cliff to far, so my mother had to go and reach for him. There I stood watching the whole thing.
Will was now back safe on the cliff but Elizabeth had tripped, and was now holding on to the cliff for her life. I didn’t move. Why didn’t I move? Maybe, just maybe this was my ticket off of this awful island. Should I help? I couldn’t. I had to let her die. I had to ask her something, and this was the only way that she would tell me.
“Will and I don’t have the same dad, do we?” I asked. I knew it. I looked nothing like Will, and I barely looked like my mother. “I’m some one else’s daughter aren’t I?” She looked at me. She was confused. I knew what she was thinking. She wanted to tell me that it was true, but she couldn’t.
“No Genevieve. You’re not Will’s actual brother. You have a different father. His name is Jack. Jack Sparrow. And you two aren’t alone, there is another brother. Son of Commodore James Norington. He’s dead now, but his son is very much alive, and sailing a beautiful ship named the Dawn Treadar.”
“I knew it! You haven’t told me other things too as well! Like what Captain Turner does in the ten years while he’s not here?”
“I don’t want to tell you Genevieve. I can’t”
“Elizabeth! Tell me NOW!”
“Alright. Calm down and don’t get angry when I tell you. Captain Turner sails the seas for ten years, passing the dead on to the next life, those who have died at sea. He doesn’t want to do it. But he has to.”
Will stopped his pathetic attempt to help her, and stared. He watched as her fingers fell off the cliff. She had fallen. She was dead.
As Captain Turner came up onto the cliff, he saw his son and was overjoyed at seeing him, until he realized that young Will was crying.
“Son, I have waited ten years to see you. Now I finally meet you and you are sad. Where is your mother? Genevieve! I’m so happy to see you to! Don’t think that I didn’t miss you as well! Now where is Elizabeth? I miss my wife so much! Ten years is a long---”
“Elizabeth is dead.” I said plainly and coolly. For some reason it didn’t bother me all that much. “Just died right here. Look off the cliff.” I said. I remained
completely calm. Then I walked away. Stopped, and turned back to face the two of them. “I’m sorry. I have to get something and then I have to leave. I can’t
stay on this island any longer.” I hesitated, then said what was on my mind. “I have to find my father.” I said. He looked at me with a thought of sorrow in
his eyes.
“How can you go off the island to find your father? I’m right here!”
“You’re not my father. She lied!” I shouted. I was angry now. The sword, I needed a sword. “Did she ever tell you that I was Jack’s daughter? No? Don’t worry she didn’t tell me either! What about the fact that she has another son too? Yes! James Norington’s son, who is now sailing the ship ‘The Dawn Treader’ one of the fastest British Naval ships ever to sail these seas! Do you know how jealous I am? That my father gets to go and sail all day for years on end, and here I am, stuck on this stupid island? If I stay here one more moment I will explode!”

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
Wow. I was amazed with myself. I had been holding all of that up for years, wanting to say it to my mother, and now here I was saying it to a person who didn’t matter in my life anymore.
“I won’t do it Genevieve. I won’t take her body with me.”
“I don’t care! I don’t think I ever did! I just want off of this God-forsaken place! I want to sail and sail and sail as fast as I can toward nowhere. And don’t even think about following me to where ever I’m going, because I don’t’ even know where I’m going!”
I didn’t wait for his response. I ran toward our small cottage, and took all of the money that we had. Once that was done I took of down to the harbor, where there were tons of ships that no one wanted. I looked at one. I had been looking at it for years now, and knew some day it would be mine.
I went to talk to the owner, an old man who couldn’t sail anymore due to injury. He had this beautiful boat, and he couldn’t even do anything with it. I walked into his house and begged him for his ship. I lied and told him that my mother had sent me down here to buy the ship with all the money that we had I stated that she knew how to sail and we could do it.
I was expecting him to say no, but to my amazement he said yes. I hugged him, handed him all of the money that we had saved up, and then went and untied my boat, got on, and sailed away as fast as I could.
I was on the ship for days, my only possessions were the boat, a map, and the clothes on my back. I needed a compass, and food. The days just kept coming, and I was almost certain I was lost, but that didn’t bother me. My mother had once told me that you can only find the things that your looking for if you lost. Well, at least that was the best way.
I went back onto the deck. Looking at the ship that I was on. It needed a name. It was made of red wood, and the wood was as hard as diamonds. The Blood Diamond. That was what it would be named. I looked out into sea and saw a faint line of land. It looked that it was a violent place. Tortuga?
I looked at the up coming island. Bleak and dark in the distance, I was slightly afraid. Was my father here?
As I pulled closer to the island, I searched the docks for boats named The Black Pearl. It had to be somewhere right? In vein I searched the docks, without the slightest hope of finding him here. When I had given up on that, I docked my boat, and went in search of a crew.
I looked around the place, women were dancing with about five men at a time, while they were all drinking. I was only thirteen, I was wearing good English clothes, and I was here. Then, I saw him. He was sitting at a table, talking to a man who I didn’t care about. I didn’t know his name, he was not my father, but he was amazing. At his side, he had a beautifully crafted sword, made of silver. Around his neck, was a necklace made of pure gold. His face was perfect. I loved him, and I didn’t even know his name.
Afraid, I approached him. I didn’t think that he had noticed me, although I did stand out, because I wasn’t as dirty as everyone else on the island.
“Excuse me, I’m sorry to interrupt,” I said, slightly nervous. “I’ve just docked my boat here, and I’m afraid I’m slightly lost. Would you mind helping me?” He looked at me, I hoped the fear wasn’t showing in my eyes.
“I would be glad too.” He said. I was overjoyed. If I could do that, I could do anything! “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name?” he asked.
“Oh! My name is Genevieve. Genevieve... Sparrow.”
“Well Miss Sparrow, my name is Anthony. You can call me Cowele though, everyone here calls me Cowele.”
“Alright Cowele then. I do have a favor to ask of you though.” He looked at me slightly puzzled, as I searched for the words that I desperately wanted to say. “I’ve recently purchased a boat. I’ve named it the Blood Diamond, but I’m without a crew. Would you mind being part of it?” He smiled the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. His teeth were not perfect, but they weren’t not perfect either. He was perfect. His brown curly hair sat just so on his head, as to create a frame for his face. He looked at me with his beautiful brown eyes, that said his answer even before he did.
“I would be glad too Miss Genevieve. Or should I call you Captain Sparrow.” He smiled again. I could tell that he was enjoying my fear. “I do have one question though.” I looked at him again, though he was not looking at me as we strode forward through the streets. I could tell that he was looking for something, I just didn’t know what. “Is your father Jack Sparrow?”
How did I respond to this? I didn’t have time to answer, because just then, he pulled me into a small barn, where there were a bunch of people, around twenty, that all looked tired. They looked like pirates. They looked beautiful.
“Aye! Cowele! What be you doin' here? You said the only time that you’d come back, is if you found work for us!” He didn’t notice me. Partially because he was talking to Cowele, partially because I was hiding behind him. I came out from hiding, and stood up as tall as I could. “And who might this be? Come here you lovely thing!” I stood my ground, but Cowele grabbed me and pulled me to his side.
“She’s a captain. An actual captain looking for a crew! Fancy that! And she came to me looking for a crew! Didn’t you Captain?”
I looked at him and he smiled. I wasn’t sure, but I thought, just for a second that he liked me! Maybe even loved me.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
“Yes. It’s true. I need a crew to find my father.” I bulked up even further. “Does anyone know where Jack Sparrow is sailing these days?”
Everyone got silent. The man who had talked before, stood up from where he was sitting.
“Jack Sparrow, be one of the most bloodthirsty pirates, to ever sail the seven seas. I hear he be looking for a crew. A new one seeing as he killed most of them off.”
“That sounds like my father.” I said. “Anyway, I need a crew. Anyone here in?”
“I be in!” the man said. “Name’s Gibbs. Mr. Gibbs. Used to work for Jack a long time ago, jumped ship a while ago. He had this crazy scheme to go and find the fountain of youth before Captain Barbossa does. Yes though. I be in.” At that, all of them jumped up and joined my crew. I got up on a table.
“Alright here’s what we’re going to do! We’re going to go! Get supplies! Anything you think you’ll need! And trust me, you’ll need a lot!”
They all went and got what they needed, and we were back on my boat within five hours. With my newly purchased sword at my side, we were finally we were away. I went up to the helm, and saw Cowele manning it.
“Do you mind?” he asked “You answered my question, but I’d like to ask a few more if you don’t’ mind.” I could handle it. I was prepared for anything. “Well, I wanted to know about your life. I had no idea that Jack Sparrow had a kid! Let alone a daughter!”
At this, I looked up at him, he seemed to notice that I was deeply shocked by the fact that he thought that I was a mistake.
“Well. I’m sorry, but I can’t answer that. I only found out that I was his daughter because my mother was dangling over a cliff, and I figured that would be the only time to ask her!” I turned away from him, and he looked sorry.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t realize that you’ve been through so much. How old are you Genevieve?” He sounded worried. But why should he be? I was his captain.
“First of all, you will refer to me as Captain Sparrow, and second I’m sixteen. I lived with my mother on an extremely small island in the Caribbean, so small it doesn’t even has a name. My half brother’s father is William Turner. His father is captain of the Flying Dutchman. I left him and my half brother the day that my mom died. That was the day that I grabbed all of my mom, mine, and my brother’s money, and went and bought this boat. ‘The Blood Diamond’ it’s named. Now, let me man the helm. Some one is on our tail.”
He looked at me sort of surprised by my show of captain-ship, and did as I commanded.
“Excuse me Miss. Sparrow,” Mr. Gibbs said as he climbed the stairs up to where the helm was. “Who be on our tail?”
“That’s Captain Sparrow!”
He laughed and then looked back at me “You’re just like your father. He hated when people called him Jack, he always wanted to be called Captain. But again I ask, who be on our tail?”
I smiled. “I’m sure the Dutchman is.” I looked off onto the horizon, and saw fairly far away, a boat come up from under the water. “Ah.” I said “Right on time. I was beginning to worry that they wouldn’t catch up! Every one listen!” I screamed as I climbed up onto the crows nest and screamed, “The Flying Dutchman is on our tail. We cannot let them get us, because they will take me and my crew and lock us in the brig! Now, to stations!”
They all went and got set for battle. I pulled my sword out and yelled “Fight for your lives! Fight for the ship! Ready the cannons. Ready! Aim!” I yelled, everyone was anxious now. As the Dutchman got closer, I could see the triple cannons coming closer into view. “FIRE!!!!!”
The sound of the cannons was amazing. The way the smoke smelt made me feel, for once, at home. I knew this was my place. Among Cowele, among pirates.
I could hear the bang from their cannons as well as ours, but amazingly enough, barely any of them hit us. Just as I was about to call fire again, the Dutchman
stopped, and just sat there calmly. They were planning something. I could tell. Then we saw the rush of ropes carrying men that were no longer normal and human looking, but were covered with coral and conches. Will had stopped taking people to the other side, just to talk to me. He had become squid faced just like Davy Jones before him, for me. I would not take it.
“All men pull out your swords!” I ordered, and Cowele stood by me, as we battled pirate after pirate, sending them all overboard, taking some for prisoner, and killing others. The battle was immense. They just kept coming. I wasn’t very skilled in fencing, but I knew enough to keep my life intact. For that I was grateful.
I was beginning to get tired, and finally gave up fighting, and headed toward the helm to get away from them. Just then, a huge pirate came up to me and with a sword to my neck he shouted at all of the crew to stop fighting. Immediately, all of the pirates stopped fighting and looked as the huge pirate held the
sword.
I was scared. I won’t deny it. I had just acquired everything that I wanted, and this was how it was going to end? No. I didn’t want this. I wanted my ship, and I
still hadn’t met my father.
“Please,” shouted Cowele “she is our captain. Take me. I’m worthless on this ship.”
“I have distinct orders from the captain to take her. She is your captain you say? How can this be if she is a young child, and even you, a youngster of your age
should not be ruled by a young girl of thirteen.” He then looked at me and smiled a creepy smile that told me that any negotiating that Cowele did wasn’t
going to help me very much.
“Cowele it’s fine. I can handle it. I know the captain of the Flying Dutchman. He’s my step father. I’ll be fine. And as to you sir,” I stated, “I will go without a
fight, so there is no further need for there to be a sword to my throat, or your colleagues so to speak, to be on my ship any longer.” At my sign of
bravery, he removed the sword from my neck and wrapped a rope around my hands which he tied behind my back.
They took me to where the ropes were, where he held on to me and I looked at Cowele as I went and screamed to him “Keep the Blood Diamond safe. I will return, and when I do, I expect you to be in the position of captain, and the crew to have remained.” He nodded at my words and then looked down as I went, like he’d just lost something that he’d had forever.
I felt so heavy swinging on that rope with that pirate holding me. The water below me looked cold, and I was slightly afraid of falling into it. The trip seemed
endless and by the time we got to the ship I was tired. I was taken down into the base of the ship and put into a small cell that was completely covered in
coral. I went over and sat on the small bench provided for me. I could smell the wreak of the entire ship from inside this one small cell. I lied down on
the bench, and fell asleep quickly.
Everyone got silent. The man who had talked before, stood up from where he was sitting.
“Jack Sparrow, be one of the most bloodthirsty pirates, to ever sail the seven seas. I hear he be looking for a crew. A new one seeing as he killed most of them off.”

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
In my dreams, all there was, was a beautiful ship, sailing away as fast as it could, only I was in the water. I couldn’t stay above any further. I sank, down further and further, until I hit the bottom of the ocean where I lay.
When I woke up, there were blankets at the foot of my bed, probably a present from Captain Turner. I pushed them off the bench and then sat up. A loud creaking noise came to my ears. As I looked up, I saw that one of the mates had opened the door. I stood, just to be polite. He walked inside and grabbed me by the arm, pulling me all the way to the captain’s quarters. Both Will’s were sitting at a desk patiently, but older Will looked very different. He looked like an octopus.
He looked very disappointed with whatever the mate who had grabbed me was telling him. Then, he looked up at me, and frowned.
“You have evaded my hospitality.” He then looked at the mate, whispered something to him and then looked back at me. “You have a choice Genevieve, you can stay in your cozy cell, or, you can sail with me here. You see Genevieve, your mother may have lied to me, but there is something that I know that you don’t know.”
“And what might that be?”
“I’m not telling what that is.” He looked down, as if he was ashamed of it.
“Well then, I choose my cell.” I stated quietly, but he seemed taken aback by the idea. “I insist.” I said.
“But father,” said young Will. His eyes were quieter than usual, as if he was somehow tamed. “Doesn’t Genevieve have to stay with someone else that we have in prison?” Captain Turner seemed to get quiet, and then he sent me away, as if I was something he could just set aside.
I left quietly, and was led to my cell. I looked at my bench, but sitting there, was someone that I’d never thought that I’d meet. My father. I stared at him for a long time, but he didn’t notice me. He was too wrapped up in whatever he held in his hand.
“Jack?” I asked. He looked up.
“And who might you be?” He counter-asked. “I don’t think that I’ve ever met you before.”
“No, you haven’t met me before, but I’ve been dreaming of meeting you for a very long time.” Well, a few days anyway, but it was the thought that counted...
“You? Dreaming of meeting a skally-wag like me? Have you a good reason?”
“Yes. A very good one.”
“Do I owe you money? Or rum?”
“No. I owe you something.”
“Aye? And what would that be?”
I blushed and looked him sincerely in the eyes. “I owe you my life.” He looked at me with his dark-brown eyes. They reminded me of Cowele’s.
“You’re life? How?” He stood. He was dressed strangely. He had thick boots, and trinkets of all sorts hanging from his belt. His hair was in dread-locks, but
had the same color as mine did. He wore a red bandana, and in his hand was a hat.
“Do you remember Elizabeth? Turner?” I said. His eyes were responsive.
“What about her?” I could tell by his response that he had already realized who I was. He just hadn’t said it yet.
“I’m sixteen years old, and I’m your daughter. Genevieve Sparrow.” He dropped the hat. I had obviously put him in a state of shock. He sat down on the bench
again. His hands moved over something that he had on his belt.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
“You’re my daughter. Genevieve. I loved that name.” The thing he was holding suddenly opened. I saw an arrow, and inside it looked like a compass. The arrow spun around several times, and then pointed firmly on me. He looked up at me. “You are my daughter. I will let you sail on my ship.”
“No.” I said firmly. He looked taken aback. “You will sail with me.” He half smiled, have looked surprised.
“You? You don’t even have a ship!” He stated. He started to laugh.
“Yes I do. The Blood Diamond. It’s a beautiful ship. I love it, and you will sail with me and my crew. First we need to get out of this stupid cell though.” I went over to the gate. My father stood next to me.
“Do you have a sword Genevieve?” I looked up at him. I knew we were preparing for a battle.
“Yes I do, but it was taken from me.”
“Well that’s no good is it.” He looked onto his belt, and pulled out two swords. “Here, you can have this one.” He handed me the smaller of the two. I looked it
over. It was beautiful. He looked back at the gate. “Half-barrel hinges.” He stated. He then went over to the bench, and picked it up. He placed the bench
inside the gate, then pushed on the other side. The gate lifted up, and he shifted it and placed it down with a clash. We walked slowly outside of the jail cell. I had the sword inside my belt. We walked onto the deck. Jack looked at me.
“Funny how we escaped. Same way Will sprung me from a cell years ago. At least fifteen. How old did you say you were?”
“Sixteen.”
“Good age.”
The stairs were quiet as I walked up the steps, my father following behind me. When we got to the deck, I had my sword in my hand, and I was prepared for a fight. The crew was unresponsive by our escape attempts. The captain was in his quarters, along with my brother. Jack and I walked onto a boat and set it free of its captivity. I couldn’t believe that the crew trusted me more than they did their captain. When we were in the water, I started rowing toward my ship,
which wasn’t too far away. Immediately, they spotted us, and started coming back toward us.
The Blood Diamond moved quickly. The small boat that we were on didn’t move very fast, so it was a good thing. The ship reached us in about fifteen minutes. Cowele was the one who helped us on.
“Captain! You came back! And you brought a man? Who are you?”
“Cowele this is my father. Captain Jack Sparrow.” I responded.
“Jack Sparrow?” I heard from behind me. Mr. Gibbs came up next to me. “Jack! It’s really you! I thought you were lookin’ for the fountain of youth?”
“Ah Mr. Gibbs, that would be a story for another day.” My father said. Cowele put his arm around me, and we walked toward the helm. Cowele looked off into the sea.
“Cowele, come into my quarters.” I led him toward the back of the ship, to my quarters. “Cowele, tell me about your past. Why are you a pirate? I don’t understand why a person who speaks English as well as you do, would be a pirate.” He looked at me.
“The same could be said about you Captain.” I began to laugh. That was true. I spoke English well compared to the Pirates I was dealing with. “But I became a pirate by accident. I was sailing from England to the Caribbean with my mother. We were ransacked. I was taken prisoner, and the rest of the passengers were
killed. Including my mother. They forced me to work, and eventually I became the Captain’s favorite. When we went to Tortuga, I got off and ran away. I
ended up in the barn that you saw. Gibbs took me in and helped me. Then you came along. That’s kind of where my story ends. May I ask about yours?” I
smiled again. His story was amazing. Mine didn’t even touch that. I told him my story. He smiled and laughed in the right places. He seemed to understand the
pain that I had gone through, similar to the pain he had gone through. I inched closer to him, and he once again put his arm around me. I looked into his eyes.
They were soft. I could tell that he was looking into mine. He leaned closer to me. We kissed. He was the best kisser I ever could have wished for.
Just then, my dad walked in. He looked at us. We had stopped kissing and we were looking at each-other.
“What’s going on here Genevieve, and boy I don’t know.”
My father had small knives coming out of his eyes. He stared at Cowele and I. I looked at him. Cowele began to laugh, and assured my father that we weren’t doing anything wrong. He seemed satisfied with that. He left quickly. Cowele turned back to me.
“You’re father is just concerned. That’s all.” He looked sincere and genuine. “Come on Genevieve. Cheer up. We’re going to defeat Captain Turner with your fathers help.” We walked outside. The sun was setting, and the whole world seemed peaceful. For now.
“No.” I said firmly. He looked taken aback. “You will sail with me.” He half smiled, have looked surprised.

End of Part 1
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
That was awesomeness. Even though I don't know very much about the Pirates of the Caribbean at all! XD I just know what I've seen from previews, and random parts of the first one. Great job!!
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
Thanks! It's like... the sequel to the third movie.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
Yeah, I figured that out. XD And it wasn't so confusing, since I at least know who Will and Jack and Elizabeth are. Which is the main thing I needed.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
Oh, good. Well, I wasn't a big fan of Elizabeth in the movies, so... she fell of a cliff. XD I'm so kind.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
XD Lol, I was wondering why you killed her.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
I hated her. And Will. I only liked Jack. Lol.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
Lol, nice. XD I liked Will and Jack.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Last Stand (Part 1) *Finished*
Awesome. My mom's obsessed with PotC (not to mention a certain actor whose initials are OB... ) so even though I've only watched half of the first one I know quite a bit.
