Naruto opened one eye (the one not covered by his nightcap), annoyed at the blazingly brilliant light shining in his window. It seemed to be dancing around with an annoyingly huge smile, saying 'GET UP YOU LAZYHEAD!' Naruto groaned and pulled his covers over his head. The sunlight reminded him too much of himself.

I got to Naruto's apartment and started knocking on the door. "Naruto! Are you up?"

"No, no I'm not, dattebayo!" Naruto yelled, just loud enough that whoever-it-was-who-was-visiting-at-this-hour could hear him, but quietly enough that they would think he was asleep. After he finished his sentence he realized his mistake. Responding had proved that he was, in fact, awake. He slapped himself on the forehead and scrambled to hide in the closet next to the bathroom.

"I-" Naruto started to answer but clapped his hand over his mouth. What had happened to his amazing ninja skills? He imagined Sakura and Sasuke, they would say he never had any in the first place. He would show them! He would stay quiet and not make a single peep, and whoever-that-was could spend forever and a day looking for him. But what if it was a delivery person from Ichiraku with a free ramen meal? Or, even better a messenger from Tsunade come to tell him that she had relinquished her title as Hokage? He began to grin at the thought. He couldn't contain himself and burst from the closet. Who needed Sasuke and Sakura's opinions anyway?
"Where's my free ramen or position as top dog of the village dattebayo!?!" He yelled, overexcitedly. Then he opened his eyes, and saw Brittani.
"Oh hi." He rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, I thought you were.... never mind."

(O.o That post could be considered elite XD)

"Eh..." Naruto began, wondering whether or not he should explain that he was trying to prove that he did have ninja skills, but he didn't have to finish his sentence because his door burst open.
"Aha!" Sakura yelled in triumph.
"You're late." Kakashi stated.
"Hn." that was from Sasuke, who was trying to look more interested in the back of his eyelids and keeping his nose in the air than the current situation.
