I'm on my new MacBook! But y'know what was annoying? We got help right away, we knew exactly what we wanted, there was only one model of new MacBooks to choose from anyway, and yet it took an hour and a half in the Apple store to get it. My dad is weird when it comes to technical stuff... o.0 So we left at like 10, got home a little past noon, and then it took till like 4 to transfer all my stuff, and my dad didn't tell me it was done, so I didn't get to use it until like 7:30 or something. But otherwise, I'm happpppyyyyyy.

Except for the fact that my friend is going to either spend all of tomorrow using my laptop or playing with my iPod... and I'm just gonna be sitting there all day asking when she's gonna be done.

Anyway... after we went to the apple store, my mom had a singing group coming over, so I got to use her laptop while my data was transferring. I also watched Doctor Who, and then when Thea and Jessica (Thea's grandma and Jessica's mom are both part of the singing group) showed up they got hooked too. XD I tried to NaNo while watching, but I kept getting distracted. I have... 11010 words at the moment. And I promised myself I was gonna try to get at least two days ahead this weekend... Not happening. XP Any tips from extreme NaNoers? Ari, Shadz, Keri?

Random thought of the day: I'm hungry. XD

Well, I'm aiming for 15k a day. I do it in intervals. Here's my plan for the day, if it helps.
08:30 - 3500
10:00 - 7000
11:30 - 10500
14:30 - 16500
(If I have time, I'm trying to get to 100k)
15:50 - 19000
17:30 - 20000

Yeah. I just got to 8k words for today, and I still need to write a lot. xP So yeah. It's hard, but if I can get the time, it's really worth it.

Remove yourself from all distractions. For me, the best place to write is in my room, since the computer there has no internet, and it's the most entertaining thing. I listen to my iPod, so I don't get too bored (you wouldn't believe how bored you can get writing for ever without music xD), and then I take a small break every time I get to the next thousand words.

My WPM is about fifty when I'm writing, though, so it takes me only twenty minutes for each thousand. xD It might be a bit harder for you, but keep working at it.

If you get stuck, don't stop. Just type periods in like this . . . . . . that might be what ended up giving me so stinking many words. xDD You'll edit most of them out later, so it doesn't matter now. And write description. Be sure to show, not tell; it'll help you get more words for a particular scene. For example:

Tasha was scared.

As compared to:

Standing beneath the swaying trees, Tasha felt fear. Her heart burned with it; it was a force unstoppable. Clenching her teeth as she turned her face upwards, she whispered, "Leave me alone."

I'm still working on it myself, though, so forgive me if that wasn't the best example. xd

No, it was good, Shad. I still need 4k words today, though.
