Half-Blood Haven: Vampires, Werewolves, and Spies... oh my! (Part 2)

Amethyst winced then sighed with a nod, "Agreed but... Vampires can't die from that, I thought you all were too strong for that," she said calmly.

Lauren sat at a vacant window with a book in her lap, reading from the moonlight. Cassie and Lizzie were at the Rec Hall practicing.

Sophie stood on her tipy toes. "I can't reach it," she whined, knocking again. "Open open, Rayray!!!"

Emma looked up at her, "I thought so too..." She closed her eyes. "But Violet made me drink something. She said it was because...I don't know. Something about her plan failing. Making the score even. To help kill Harper. I...I didn't understand or hear her right at the time, and I can't remember right now."

"She got her wish," she muttered and looked away, tears stining at her eyes again. She forced them back; at least she had Derrick still and Emma. And at least Emma had them. "Dunno... She's nuts and I mean nuts."

Emma sighed softly and looked up at her. "Speaking of your brother," she said, even though it was a thought not a spoken word of Derrick that she'd heard, "Can you go get him for me? I want to go outside and see if we can find Harper. My brother deserves a proper barial, not decaying on the forest floor where animals can pick at his carass." Emma is a bit descriptive, isn't she?

Rayson sighed and rolled off his bed, walking over and opening the door for his little sister

Domi was walking quietly down the halls, and it was clear he had recently been crying his poor little heart out.

"Rayray?" she asked, looking up at him. She toddled in and then stuck to his leg. "I sad."

Lauren didn't even lift her face, "Hey Domi." Her face was still burried in the pages of a book but she'd caught his thoughts first.

Amethyst nodded and headed towards the door, "Good idea." She wandered out of the room towards hers and Derrick's room but stopped. "Can quit eavesdropping now..."

"What?"

"Why?" He asked, looking down. Rayson had yet to get any news about his uncle..so he was clueless.

"Hey Lauren" He said weakly, sitting down next to her and looking at her.

"Aun' Emmy sahys that Unca Hahpah is dead. I no no what dead mean. But she wahs sahd, so I think it is bad," the little girl mumbled before sitting down on her brothers foot and sticking her thumb in her mouth. She was a bit old for sucking her thumb, but it was a hard habbit to quit.

Emma looked up. "Eavesdropping?" she repeated softly to herself, snorting and rolling her eyes.

Rayson made his way to his bed and dropped down "Dead?" he whispered, staring at the wall

Sophie crawled up to lay in his lap, still sucking on her thumb. "What it mean?" she asked quietly, innocently, staring up at him with her big blue eyes.

Rayson looked down at her, not knowing how to explain it really.."Uhm..Soph.." He said, hugging her "Uncle Harper's gone to heaven"
(The best way I could think to explain it xD)

"Hey," she closed her book and looked up. "What's up?"

"I was not eavesdropping," he muttered and walked into the room behind Amethyst. "Hey Emma."

"Were too..."

"Trying to stay away from Logan. He's being a butt" Domi said, sighing

"Oh really?" Emma looked up and him and shut her eyes, digging into his mind gently, better she could find something.

Sophie's lips trembled. "When is he going to come back?" she asked, sitting up and looking up at him.

"Uhmm...." He said, but before he could reply tears started streaming down his face. Rayson was a very..emotional person.

Sophie started crying, too. "Rayray!" she whimpered, putting her arms up; she wanted a hug.

Rayson sighed and hugged her tight, rocking slightly.

Sophie sniffled and rubbed at her eyes. "Wiw he tell Mommy and Daddy we say hi?" she whispered, looking up at him.

Taylor laughed and rolled her eyes, "You would say that." She sighed and shook her head, "You're too perfect for this to be real..."

"Welcome," he beamed at her as his eyes too adjsuted to the half-light. "Not a bad night, huh? Pretty quiet..."

Evie nodded slowly, looking around, "Yeah. Very quiet, actually." She took a deep breath, closing her eyes slightly. Immediately, she snapped them open, "No way am I falling asleep..." She said with a quiet laugh.

Severus laughed silently, "Trust me, Taylor. I'm anything but perfect." He grinned at her.

"Yeah" Rayson said, weakly smiling "I bet he will. And you know what, I bet he's smiling down at us with mommy and daddy right now"

Sophie rubbed her eyes. "Really?" she asked, looking up at the ceiling. She squinted and then burst into tears. "I can't see!" she wailed.

Lauren gave him a weak smile, "Well no one else is here so I think you're safe."

"Oh really?" Emma looked up and him and shut her eyes, digging into his mind gently, better she could find something.
