Sparah hooted as she finished, she wanted to learn how to fly.
"Not yet..." I murmured. "If you get hurt, I can't help you." I looked down at my scar, and it throbbed.

I loosened up a little bit, but I was still protective of Sparah, who hooted behind me. She fluttered her wings and leapt out of the nest. She began plummeting towards the earth, squeaking. "Sparah!" I called in horror.

Eaglestar leapt from the branch and swooped down to the nestling, catching her in her wings.

I swooped down towards the owl. "Thank you." I whispered, unable to say anything else. Sparah jumped into my wings, hooting. I flew her back to the nest.

Eaglestar flew off, then returned with a great gray owl. Juniperleaf had a bundle of herbs in her beak, and her eyes reflected wisdom and knowledge.
