I know why the newer eggs get killed. It's because the whole purpose of earthquake is to coax a stubborn hatchling out of its egg when it has the right amount of clicks/views. So, if you don't have enough clicks/views... Then it's not ready to hatch at all. And usually with new eggs, you don't have enough clicks/views.
