My Story

My School has had a Young Author's Fair before and so since it was mandatory, I had to write. It started in Kindergarten when I thought for sure I would never make it through. I didnt put much effort into writing it and so it turned out a little non-professional as it is today. (But its still not perfect, nothing can be perfect) And so, it turned out I won the Author's Fair. A few days later, I got to go to a building where other winners came and got to eat and talk to people who did random things like made puppets, wrote stories, worked at libraries, etc. We got awards, medals, and got congratulated by a lot of people. The other good thing was that we got to skip school for one whole day.

A year later, we had the Author's Fair again, and I won first or second place, not sure, but I got to do the same thing over and over.

I eventually got to the point where the Author's Fair was a little boring to me because every year I would win and had to go to that same building with the same people, and same routine. But knowing that people only did this to tell me that my writing was creative and very special, it made me feel a lot better. But, I won 4 years in a row, and now Im in 6th Grade and we are doing another Author's Fair this year. We have to think of something before Thanksgiving Break is over, so Im just gonna head over to the Writer's Block section!

Ooh. When I was in Elementry school they did something like that. I won1st place a few years too. Cool!
