The Nintendo 64~ The June 23rd DCT

Today's topic is going to be The Nintendo 64, one of the earlier gaming systems.

It was released in Japan on June 23rd in 1996,September 29, 1996 in North America, March 1, 1997 in Europe and Australia, September 1, 1997 in France and December 10, 1997 in Brazil. It was Nintendo's last home console to use cartridge to store games (Nintendo switched to a MiniDVD-based format for the Nintendo GameCube, then to standard DVD-sized discs for the Wii); Game Boy consoles, however, continued to use the Game Pak. It was released with 2 games to start off with; Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64, and a third in Japan called, Saikyō Habu Shōgi. It was quite advanced for it's time but still had some limitations such as memory amount.

500,000 of the gaming systems were sold in the first month and by 2005 over 32 million of them had been sold world wide. In the end though the playstation stole a lot of it's sales

I've never actually played a nintendo 64.

I love Nintendo64 even though I don't have it... xD I've played it a couple times at my friends house though.

I've never used one- I have a gamecube and a Wii though, what about you guys?

Replying to Warmblood's much earlier post, I have a Wii.

That's cool, as I already said I have a Wii and a gamecube.

I have a gamecube and a DS.

I want a DSi, 'cause they're like iPods, kinda.

Yeah the DSi Looks sweet

It can take pics, is an mp3 player, has internet (right?) and is a DS!
