Christmastime Empty Christmastime

CHRISTMASTIME



Christmastime arrives
Creeping up while you’re unaware.
In fact, it gives you quite a scare.

You have to get the presents.
You were procrastinating to get.
If you don’t get your friends a gift,
You’ll soon be in debt.

So, instead of owing them something;
You get them a teapot or chair.
Then, decide they won’t like those presents.
And get them a teddy bear.

Now, you have to decorate with
Garland, stockings, and Santa Claus cookie jars.
And you’ll have to get out
The Nutcrackers, Christmas books, and candy bars!

Every house is dressed up with
Wreaths, lights, and snow.
When you pass by them in your car
You’re eyes get lit and glow.

I know this is about Christmas,
But I’m wishing this either way:
Happy Holidays to everyone!
Have a wonderful day.
