K, so I have 2 school projects due. One is a report/poster on Theodore Roosevelt and the other is a poster project for a career in art (I picked photography for it). The art project will be easier, I think, since I don't have to write an essay, but I have to make a poster for it. And the Roosevelt one is an essay and a poster. xP

If you don't know, I procrastinate. A lot. So I've been trying to think of a way to force myself to work on them. Yesterday I read a MLIA story saying someone motivated themselves by reading a page of MLIA for every paragraph they wrote for an essay. But I read MLIA too much so I don't have enough pages to do that.

Since I have no creativity, I was hoping you peoples could help me think of a way to motivate myself to do the projects so I don't have to do them all last minute like I usually do. I don't want anything too complicated. Just something simple, like the example in the last paragraph. Please help me.

Thanks

You can motivate yourself but rewarding yourself with like, a TV show, some time on TWIG, or something to eat after a certain amount of time. If that helps. xD

I was going to say part of what Pugs said XD

I was going to say to not go on the internet, but (example) if you spend 30 minutes on your project, you can spend 30 minutes on the computer Very Happy

Usually I like to plan my day so I have all of the horrible stuff done by 3, if it's a weekend. That way my afternoon is free, no matter what.
Make yourself a schedule, like this:
Arianna's Schedule for [INSERT DATE HERE] wrote:
8:00 - Wake up, go on Twig, get dressed, eat breakfast.
8:45 - Do project for art.
10:00 - Read German book.
10:30 - Do some other homework.
11:15 - And some more homework.
12:00 - Have lunch.
12:30 - Even more homework.
13:15 - You're done with homework for the day. nod
Makes sure that you follow the schedule - if you don't finish an activity, leave it when you have to do the next one. If you finish it early, go straight on to the next one. If you absolutely can't do it, put it at the end of your schedule.
I hope that I helped. Smile That's what I ideally do, except for I tend to procrastinate and then... yeah, I'm not that good at this. xD

When I have obligations like this, I work on it for 20 minutes, then go do something fun for 15 minutes. nod For example, during Nano. Schoolwork was 20, writing was 15. You could write your Twilight story? smug

Anywho, I find it works really well. :3 You have to stick to it and switch tasks asap when your time's up, but it's not so hard when you get used to it. Heck, maybe you'll even be able to enjoy your school projects if you're not stuck doing them non-stop.

I forgot... I wouldn't be a good person to tell you if this works, because I usually wait until I have nothing to do and sit down and do it the whole day, then be like, "Yes! Victory! I finished!" because I like to get it over with. xD I don't think it's a great method, though. xD
