Re: The Anime/Manga Club!
I like Naruto. I'm reading Shippuden like crazy, I just read manga 480. It was pretty cool. But everyone sure hates Sasuke, these days. Well, the fellow people I follow along with, I guess. But, I don't hate him. Almost not at all, really.
Meh, just wait until you get what he does.
But, anyways...

Re: The Anime/Manga Club!
Learning Japanese would be awesome. *-* I've been working on getting Rosetta Stone for a while now... But I haven't gotten so far.
My mom and I are both working on learning Japanese, along with my three other friends. I now a few words, and I know one whole sentence which only comes in handy in the morning. xD I can't type it, but it's typically: "Good Morning, Mom-San, I'm off. I love you."
She loves it when I pull random Japanese on her. xDD
There's one word which I LOVE calling the guys at my school: "Baka." Which in English, is:
"Idiot." xDDD

Ah, I wish to learn Japanese as well, Crystal. I only really know a few words, though... San is how you'd address pretty much anyone (in a non formal manner), then there's sama (more formal manner of addressing someone), chan (addressing little kids/cutesy manner of addressing someone/addressing a good friend), kun (addressing little boys/cutesy manner of addressing someone male/addressing a good male friend), sensei (addressing teachers and such), then there's kawaii that means cute, konnichiwa that means hello, mina san that means everybody, ningen that means human (or something along those lines), then kore wa that means so many things when used in different contexts... ^^' But yeah, only basic stuff. I have no intention in learning the symbolic language, really.
I wanna. But I want to speak, too. Mgh... it'll take me years, tho. I think the symbolic would be easier for me. At least I could read manga and stuff Japanesse directly without bothering with an English translation/version. Plus, I should visit Japan, and be a lost tourist there, and listen to the animes when I learn how to speak... I, just really like the Japanesse!

If you go up to any random person and call them "Baka" you tend to get funny looks. It's just so fun to do though. xD

Ah, good point! But of course, you'll have to do a lot of research before visiting Japan... I plan on going when I graduate, and there's very strict etiquette there (as far as I've heard/read). You have to sit a certain way, eat a certain way, bathe a certain way... XP But it's probably not so bad in americanized places like Tokyo and if you study the etiquette, I'm sure you'll be fine. It's just basic things like using chop sticks, sitting with your legs to the side, and actually washing outside of the bath tub and only using the actual tub to soak. Eh... O.o Hard to explain.Crystal Aura wrote:Komoda2000 wrote:Welcome, Crystal!

Re: The Anime/Manga Club!
My fave language to say idiot in is Japanesse!
'Cause I know how to say it in Elven; Huuko.
In French it should be; Imbecile, or idiot.
(It's the same thing and stuff, But with the French accent)

But seriously, if you just look up Japanese etiquette and study it, it's not really half as bad as I make it sound... You only really need to worry about addressing superiors (like bowing and such) but you'd have to worry about being polite anywhere. *shrugs*
Welcome Jess and Mia!
