Okay, so I just got my first iPod for Christmas - shocking, I know, fourteen years old and just got an iPod - and I have like... no music, but a lot of gift cards to spend on music. So, I ask you now, would you suggest songs for me?
I like a lot of different music. So, just say whatever, and I'll check it out!

The very first thing I'm going to say, based off of your username is, OWL CITY. cheesy

Owl City is the artist name for musician Adam Young, whose music iTunes classifies as "Electronica/Dance," which I understand. He makes the kind of music that you press play, and all of a sudden the clouds go away.

There are a million other bands I could throw out, but I'm going to give others a chance first. wink

You should check out Jem, she has a very beautiful voice. Her style is really unique. Muse is also incredible; they've got a rock/alternative type of thing going on. nod

Cherio: I have a ton of songs by Owl City already... grin Awesome, basically.

Avvy: Thank you very much, and I'll be sure to take a look.

Good. nod

I agree with Avvy; Muse is awesome. grin

Another band in the electronica area is Cascada.

Oh, and if you're into strange wacky lyrics, there's this one about being the new cancer and never feeling better... But I can't remember the band. xP It might be Relient K or Avenue Q. Just Google "I'm the new cancer never better lyrics" and you should get something.
EDIT:
That song is called "There's a Good Reason These Tables are Numbered, Honey. You Just Haven't Thought Of it Yet." by Panic! at the Disco.

[But check out Relient K and Avenue Q too. Very Happy]

Ooo - you must look at Skillet. Very Happy They're like heavy rock/symphonic rock, but at the same time, their music's Christian. Their songs are amazing, and the play my very favorite ever - Comatose.

Stella by All Time Low is awesome too, if you don't mind something suggestive. xD Same with My Own Worst Enemy by Lit.

It depends on what type of music you like. I listen to a lot of different varieties.

My personal favorites:
Skillet-Lucy, One Day too Late, Never Surrender [Like Shadow said, Heavy rock/symphonic]
Boys Like Girls-Heels over Head[theres one bad word in there], The Great Eascape [Rockish? I don't know. lol]
Miley Cyrus-Party in the USA, Breakout, Simple Song[pop]
Taylor Swift- White Horse, I'd Lie, Love Story [Country/pop]
Kris Allen-Live like you're Dying, Heartless[I want to say in the Pop genre]
Smashmouth-Allstar [Rock???]

Other than Owl City, I enjoy Paramore, Linkin Park, and Taylor Swift. Very Happy Paramore is alternative, Linkin Park is rock, and Taylor Swift is country.

Vic Mignogna...XD
I love him. He's an anime voice actor that also sings.
His best songs are Shissou, Guilty Beauty Love and Could Be an Angel.

Um... maybe Kate Higgins song Easy to Save. She's another voice actor.

Oh, check out "The Script." -- I love them! They're categorized as Rock, but they are more Alternative to me. Razz
Also, the all American Rejects: they're kind of Rocky/Poppy/Alternativey. xD

Good luck getting songs you like on your new iPod!
What're you gonna name it? Surprised
